The Carnival Legend will be sailing to Alaska and Hawaii again in 2018. In a morning press release on July 19, 2016, Carnival Cruise Line announced the Carnival Legend's 2018 Alaska season will contain 16 round trip 7 night cruises from Seattle, Washington. Each of these 7 night round trip cruises from Seattle will sail to Tracy Arm Fjord, Skagway, Ketchikan, Juneau, and Victoria, B.C. The first roundtrip voyage of the 2018 season will depart on May 8, 2018, and the last round trip voyage of the season will depart on August 21, 2018. These consecutive round trip voyages depart on Tuesdays. While this may sound like an odd departure day, consider taking time to fly into Seattle a few days early during the weekend and see the sights of Seattle!
Typically, Carnival ships also do special Alaska itineraries at the beginning and end of each Alaska season. For 2018, Carnival has announced the Carnival Legend will sail a 7 night cruise from Vancouver on May 1, 2018. This cruise will end in Seattle, Washington and is not round trip. To end the Alaska cruise season, the Carnival Legend will sail an 8 night Alaska cruise that is round trip from Seattle. This cruise will begin on August 28, 2018. On September 5, 2018, the Carnival Legend will depart Seattle on an 8 night Alaska cruise that will end in Vancouver, Canada. Following this cruise, the 2018 Carnival Alaska season is over.
Besides announcing Alaska cruises, Carnival announced the Carnival Legend will sail two Hawaii 11 night cruises. Each of these cruises have different itineraries and departure homeports. One of these 11 night Hawaii cruises will depart Honolulu, Hawaii and end in Vancouver, Canada. The other of these cruises will depart Vancouver and end in Honolulu.
The Carnival Legend seasonally departs from Sydney, Australia. For the past few years, the ship has relocated back to the United States to sail Alaska and Hawaii. While 2018 has its Alaska and Hawaii cruises announced, there is still the 2017 Alaska cruise season for cruisers to enjoy. The Carnival Legend is Carnival's first ship to have its itineraries announced for the Summer 2018 cruise season.
