Carnival Victory Scores Three Consecutive 100's On USPH Inspections

3/27/2017

Carnival Cruise ShipCarnival Triumph, A Ship In the Same Class As The Carnival Victory
The Carnival Victory recently earned a score of 100 from the U.S.P.H. during its last three recent health inspections. According to Carnival, ships that earn a 100, "must receive perfect marks on all 44 items that comprise the U.S.P.H's comprehensive Vessel Sanitation checklist". The inspectors view multiple areas on the ship to look for violations against health codes.
The Carnival Victory's crew members worked hard to earn this accomplishment. Congratulations to Carnival Cruise Line and the crew members of the Carnival Victory for earning a score of 100 two times in a row!
Last week, Carnival Cruise Line announced the Carnival Elation earned two consecutive 100's on its recent health inspection scores. Congratulations to the crew of both of these ships for earning high marks!

Royal Caribbean's Symphony of the Seas Will Begin Cruising In 2018

3/9/2017

In April 2018, Royal Caribbean will welcome the Symphony of the Seas, a brand new ship, to its fleet. The Symphony of the Seas will be Royal Caribbean's 26th ship and 4th ship in Royal Caribbean's Oasis Class of ships. When the Symphony of the Seas makes its debut in April 2018, it will be the largest cruise ship in the world.
The inaugural season of the Symphony of the Seas will be spent in the Mediterranean. Following an inaugural season in the Mediterranean, the Symphony of the Seas will reposition to begin cruising from Miami, Florida. The ship's primary deployment from Miami will be 7 Eastern or Western Caribbean cruises that depart on Saturdays.
In preparation for the Symphony of the Seas, a new cruise terminal is being built in Miami, Florida. This cruise terminal is expected to open in October 2018 prior to the Symphony of the Seas' arrival. Once built, the Allure of the Seas will use this cruise terminal too. Royal Caribbean's press release says the cruise terminal will be able to accommodate a ship that is 1,300 feet long and be LEED certified. Groundbreaking for the construction of this new terminal has already begun.
