Carnival Triumph Sailing Towards New Orleans There are parts of Louisiana that have recently been impacted by severe weather and flooding. Today Carnival Cruise Line announced a plan to donate $125,000 to various organizations in order to help aid their efforts to support those affected by the recent flooding.Furthermore, Carnival Corporation is matching this amount by donating $125,000. Combined a total of $250,000 will be donated by Carnival Cruise Line and Carnival Corporation. Carnival Corporation is the parent company of Carnival Cruise Line.
Carnival's press release notes that these contribution's will be made via the Carnival Foundation. Some of the recipients Carnival named in its press release are the American Red Cross, Louisiana Association of United Ways, and Save the Children.
Besides Carnival Cruise Line's and Carnival Corporation's donations, cruisers from New Orleans will also have an opportunity to donate. Carnival's press release says cruisers will have a chance to donate during cruise check-in.
Carnival currently has two ships sailing from New Orleans, the Carnival Triumph and Carnival Dream. The Carnival Triumph primarily sails 4 & 5 night cruises from New Orleans and the Carnival Dream sails 7 night cruises from New Orleans.
