How Carnival Cruise Line Is Showing Its Commitment to the Fantasy Class

2/12/2016

While some cruise lines prefer to get rid of their older ships to make way for brand new mega ships, Carnival Cruise Line's recent actions show the company is still committed to their Fantasy class vessels. This class of ships includes the Carnival Fantasy, Ecstasy, Sensation, Fascination, Imagination, Inspiration, Elation, and Paradise.                While these ships are older and relatively smaller compared to many of the modern mega ships, Carnival has made enhancements in the past to keep these ships refreshed. For example, many years ago Carnival installed the Serenity Adults Only Retreat on all 8 of their Fantasy class ships. All of the Fantasy class, with the exception of the Carnival Elation & Paradise, recieved the WaterWorks. These dry-docks in the past helped keep the ships up to date. Recently, Carnival has shown the future will hold many great things for the Fantasy Class. In February 2016, the Carnival Inspiration emerged from a dry-dock that gave the ship many new features such as Guy's Burger Joint, Blue Iguana Cantina, Red Frog Rum Bar, Blue Iguana Tequila Bar, Alchemy Bar, and more. Also, in February 2016 the Carnival Fantasy, the company's oldest ship, will be sent to dry-dock to also receive many upgrades and features. The Carnival Fantasy is scheduled to get new features such as, Guy's Burger Joint, Blue Iguana Cantina, Red Frog Rum Bar, and the Blue Iguana Tequila Bar.
Carnival has many more dry-docks planned for the other Fantasy class ships too. While the specifics are not officially released at this time, we know from Carnival that the Carnival Imagination will be sent to dry-dock in September 2016. Both the Carnival Ecstasy and Carnival Sensation will be sent to dry-dock in early 2017. Again, the specifics of these dry-docks are not announced yet and there is always a chance the dry-dock will only consist of general maintenance. However, given the Carnival Fantasy and Carnival Inspiration's new features, there is a good chance all three of ships with scheduled dry-docks will receive something new too.
The recent Carnival Inspiration dry-dock and the upcoming Carnival Fantasy dry-dock show Carnival wants to keep its Fantasy class ships up to date, refreshed, and in top notch condition. The future dry-docks of more Fantasy class ships show Carnival is still committed to its Fantasy Class vessels.
