Celebrating Valentines Day On A Carnival Cruise: Tips & Information

       If you are taking a Carnival Cruise vacation on Valentines Day there are a few events & activities scheduled to take place onboard your cruise. The timing & exact events that will take place can vary based on your ship's planned location on the itinerary and your onboard entertainment team. This post will take a look at the events Carnival has listed on their website as planned to take place on Valentine's Day. 
            Valentine's Day is always February 14th, but the day of the week the holiday falls on will vary depending on the year. Valentine's Day in 2025 will fall on Friday, February 14, 2025.

Activities Carnival Has Planned To Take Place On Valentine's Day:

Below is a list of activities that Carnival has posted to their website as being planned for Valentine's Day. Some of the activities will cost extra to participate. Check your Carnival Hub App onboard for times & locations for the activities. You can also pick up a copy of the FunTimes onboard newsletter at Guest Services to see the time & location of events. 

• Steakhouse Valentine's Day -  Per Carnival's website this would only take place on ships that are at sea on Valentine's Day. Ships in homeport or ports of call would not have this event. Additionally, a Valentine's Day lunch in the steakhouse will cost extra. 
• Valentine's Day Trivia 
• Cupid Contest
• Valentine's Card Craft 
• Conversation Heart Scavenger Hunt - I'm not sure what this is, but it is listed on Carnival's website. 
• Soulful Love Dance Class
• Vow Renewal At Sea -   Carnival's website shows the Vow Renewal At Sea will take place with the ship's cruise director. However, Carnival's website does not mention if this event has a cost or is free. Carnival sells Vow Renewal Packages as part of their Wedding Program so I would not be surprised to see some sort of cost associated with this event.  If you are cruising on Valentine's Day and are interested in taking part of this event, I recommend asking onboard to get the details (time, location, etc.) and asking if there is a cost. In 2024 there was not a cost for this event. 
• Valentine's Day Bingo -   Carnival advertises a Valentine's Day Bingo is one of the events that could take place on Valentine's Day. Bingo usually costs extra onboard. I am guessing this event would have some sort of Valentine's Day theme. 
• Youth Activities -  Carnival has 3 different youth programs (Camp Ocean, Circle C, and Club 02) which cover different age groups. Carnival's website lists for Valentine's Day that "themed youth activities" will take place. This likely means that the different age groups will have some sort of event (activity, craft, or something else) since it will be Valentine's Day.

Where can I find the location & times of Valentine's Day activities onboard?
​              You will want to check the Carnival Hub App or the FunTimes newsletter for the time & location of the activity. 

How can I know which activities are considered free/complimentary versus an additional charge?
​               When you are onboard you can ask before participating in an activity if it is free or not. Asking will save you the hassle of realizing you were charged for the activity later.
