Carnival Vista vs. Liberty of the Seas: Galveston's Larger Rivals Compete

8/13/2018

GalvestonGalveston's Cruise Terminals
The Carnival Vista and Liberty of the Seas are some of Galveston's largest cruise ships. For Carnival Cruise Line, the Carnival Vista is the largest Carnival ship sailing from Galveston and for Royal Caribbean the Liberty of the Seas is the largest Royal Caribbean ship to sail from Galveston. This post will give some basic comparison information about the Carnival Vista and Liberty of the Seas.
Although both ships are large and have numerous amenities, the Liberty of the Seas is a little larger in terms of length and gross tonnage. However, the Carnival Vista is a newer ship. (Article was updated in August 2019 after being originally published in August 2018)

Docking in Galveston
The Liberty of the Seas currently sails 7 night cruises to the Western Caribbean. It is very typical for Royal Caribbean ships to dock at Galveston's Cruise Terminal 2. The Liberty of the Seas began docking in Galveston in November 2015 and is currently sailing from Galveston.
While both of these ships are of two different cruise lines, both have exciting things to offer Galveston's cruisers. I will be writing more on Galveston's cruise industry as time continues.
