Carnival Venezia Dining & Food Guide: Everything You Need To Know About Eating Onboard The Ship

      The Carnival Venezia is Carnival Cruise Line's first Costa by Carnival concept ship and will begin sailing for Carnival later in 2023. Carnival Venezia will have many of the familiar dining concepts that Carnival guests enjoy on already existing Carnival ships, but some venues will have an Italian twist that goes with the ship's Costa by Carnival theme. This post will take a look at all the dining on the Carnival Venezia, both complimentary (included) and additional fee.

Carnival Venezia Breakfast Dining:

• Lido Marketplace - The Carnival Venezia's Lido Marketplace is expected to serve breakfast food similar to what other Carnival ships serve in the Lido buffet. On the Carnival Venezia guests will be able to enjoy the continental breakfast buffet line that usually serves a variety of fruits, pastries, & more. The main breakfast buffet line will allow guests to enjoy hot selections (bacon is expected to be served every other morning). The Carnival Venezia will have an omelet station open during breakfast hours in the Lido Marketplace, according to Carnival. 
• Canal Grande Restaurant (Dining Room) -  The Carnival Venezia's aft dining room is the Canal Grande Restaurant. The dining room will serve brunch on sea days and a breakfast menu on port of call days in the morning. The exact hours will vary depending on the day & ship's expected location. The dining room is located on both decks 3 and 4, but the level used will depend on the day. 
• Room Service -  Room service is available in the mornings. Guests will be able to find the details on the QR code in their stateroom or via the Carnival Hub App. 

Carnival Venezia Lunch Dining:

• La Strada Grill - The Carnival Venezia's La Strada grill is located on Deck 5 outside and will serve complimentary food. Carnival has not released the full menu, but this venue is expected to serve grilled Italian street food and sandwiches. 
• Guy's Burger Joint -  The Carnival Venezia will have a Guy's Burger Joint that is located on Deck 10. This Guy's Burger Joint will serve some of the traditional Guy's Burger Joint foods, but also have some new menu items that have an Italian twist. Carnival has only unveiled one of these Italian twist options which is a pepperoni pizza burger. 
• Tomodoro - The Carnival Venezia's Tomodoro will be open at both breakfast & lunch. This venue is located on Deck 10. At lunch, the Tomodoro is complimentary and will serve Mexican tacos & burritos as well as have some Italian ingredients available. 
• Lido Marketplace -  The Carnival Venezia's Lido Marketplace will be serving lunch daily with many complimentary options. Carnival has advertised the Lido Marketplace at lunch will include a variety of stations such as stir fry, pasta, carving station, salad bar, and dessert station. 
• Pizzeria Del Capitano -  The Carnival Venezia's Pizzeria Del Capitano will serve complimentary pizza. This venue is located at the back of Deck 10. 
• Seafood Shack - The Carnival Venezia's Seafood Shack is located at the back of Deck 10. This venue serves seafood favorites for an additional fee per item. Typically, the Seafood Shack is open for lunch & dinner on sea days and only dinner on port of call days. Exact hours can vary. 
• Bonsai Sushi - The Carnival Venezia's Bonsai Sushi is located on Deck 5 and will serve sushi dishes at an ala carte charge. Bonsai Sushi is open at both lunch & dinner on sea days and only dinner on port of call days. 
• On days where brunch is served in the Canal Grande Restaurant (Dining Room) the brunch times will likely be wrapping up by noon (hours may vary). Guests who want to eat an early lunch should have brunch as an option.
• Room Service Menu -  Typically fees apply for each item ordered. Guests can find full menu & details on the QR code location in-stateroom or on the Carnival Hub App. 

Carnival Venezia Dinner Dining:

• Marco Polo Restaurant -  The Carnival Venezia's Marco Polo Restaurant is one of the two dining rooms onboard that are open for dinner. This dining room will service guests who have traditional seating, which includes an early and late seating. Early seating typically is at 6pm and late seating is at 8:15pm. The exact seating time can be found on your Sail & Sign card or in the Carnival Hub App. 
• Canal Grande Restaurant (Dining Room) - The Carnival Venezia's Canal Grande Restaurant (dining room) is the aft dining room onboard the ship. This dining room will service guests who have Your-Time Dining, which is expected to run from 5:45pm - 9:30pm (exact times may vary). 
• Lido Marketplace - The Carnival Venezia's Lido Marketplace will also be open at dinner and serve a variety of complimentary options on Deck 10. The exact food offerings will vary by night, but Carnival typically has salad bar fixings and dessert available each night. 
• ​Bonsai Sushi - The Carnival Venezia's Bonsai Sushi is located on Deck 5 and serves sushi dishes at an ala carte charge. This venue is open at dinner. 
• Fahrenheit 555 Steakhouse - The Carnival Venezia's Fahrenheit 555 Steakhouse is located on Deck 5 and is open for dinner. Guests wishing to dine here must make a reservation and pay the reservation fee. 
• Pizzeria Del Capitano - The Carnival Venezia's Pizzeria Del Capitano is expected to be available until the very early morning timeframe which means guests can get pizza for dinner. Please check the Carnival Hub App for the exact opening & closing time. 
• Carnival mentions guests eating at early dinner will be able to eat at Guy's Burger Joint on Deck 10, but it is not clear how early the Guy's Burger Joint venue will close. Most other Carnival ships see Guy's Burger Joint close around the 5pm or 6pm timeframe. ​
  
• Room Service Menu -  Typically fees apply for each item ordered. Guests can find full menu & details on the QR code location in-stateroom or on the Carnival Hub App. 

Snacks & Other Misc. Carnival Venezia Dining Notes:

• Ice Cream is available in the Lido Marketplace, but is not available 24 hours. The exact time of availability may vary, but Carnival is advertising ice cream to be available from 11am until midnight each day.
• The Carnival Venezia offers Dive In Movies which is where movies are shown on the Carnival Seaside Theater. Popcorn is available right around the start time on Dive In Movies for an additional charge.
• Tea Time is scheduled for sea days on the Carnival Venezia. This likely will take place in the mid-afternoon in the Canal Grande Dining Room. Please check the Carnival Hub App for the exact time. 
• A specialty Italian restaurant will be put on the Carnival Venezia, but no details are available at the time of writing.

The Carnival Venezia is currently in dry-dock as the ship gets prepared for the Costa Cruises to Carnival Cruise Line transition. As the ship enters service more dining details should be available online!
