Most Carnival Cruise ships have a godmother that is a tradition dating back a long time. Carnival's ships Carnival Venezia & Carnival Firenze both have godfathers. The role of the godmother or godfather is to be present at the naming ceremony to christen the ship & break a bottle of champagne against the ship which is for good luck. All Carnival ships have a godmother or godfather. I compiled the information from Carnival's ship fact sheets on who the godmother or godfather is listed for each ship.
Carnival Breeze Godmother:
The Carnival Breeze's godmother is Tracy Wilson Mourning. Carnival Breeze launched in 2012.
Carnival Celebration Godmother:
The Carnival Celebration's godmother is Cassidy Gifford. The original M/S Celebration had Kathy Lee Gifford as the godmother. The new Carnival Celebration launched in 2022.
Carnival Conquest Godmother:
The Carnival Conquest's godmother is Corrine Lindy Clairborne Boggs. The Carnival Conquest launched in 2002.
Carnival Dream Godmother:
The Carnival Dream's godmother is Marcia Gay Harden. The Carnival Dream launched in 2009.
Carnival Elation Godmother:
