Carnival Cruise Line Introduces New Platinum & Diamond VIFP Gift Set

2/4/2023

Picture
This morning Carnival Cruise Line's brand ambassador, John Heald, announced a new VIFP Platinum & Diamond gift is going to be coming soon.
The upcoming new VIFP Platinum & Diamond gifts are pieces of a collection. This VIFP collection consists of a tote bag, fanny pack, and then a toiletry bag. According to John Heald's video, the first piece of the collection will be the tote bag. Guests will be given one piece of the collection as their gift per cruise. This means you do not get the whole three piece collection on one cruise! It is unclear how many tote bags or how long the tote bag will be given, but shortly after the tote bag the next gift (fanny pack) will be distributed. Then at some point not yet announced, the toiletry bag will be given as the third piece of the collection.

First New Gift: Tote Bag
The first part of the collection is going to be a tote bag. Based on the video stream on John Heald's Facebook the tote bag appears to be navy blue with the handle piece in red. A Carnival logo is outside and shows "VIFP Club" written.
On the inside of the bag, there is more writing. Based on seeing the video, it appears the inside of the bag has the Carnival Logo and says "Very Important For Pool days".

Second New Gift: Fanny Pack
The second part of the new VIFP Platinum & Diamond gift collection is a fanny pack (or as John Heald called it a bum bag). This fanny pack appears to be navy blue with a red zipper area based on the video. The same Carnival logo and writing "VIFP Club" is on the fanny pack. John Heald did not show the insides of the fanny pack so I have no further details on what the inside of the bag looks like.
Third New Gift: Toiletry Bag
The third part of the new VIFP Platinum & Diamond gift collection is a toiletry bag. The outside of the bag appears to be navy blue and the zipper appears to be red.  Based on the video, the inside of the bag has the Carnival logo and says "Very Important For Packing".
Can guests switch out a a duplicate for another piece of the collection?
John Heald mentioned more details will be announced later for guests who acquire all 3 pieces. It is unclear what Carnival will do in this case if a guest does not want duplicate items.
When will the new gifts be available on the Carnival ships?
John Heald said the gifts will be available in the coming weeks. As of the time of writing, they are not yet on the ships.
Where do Diamond & Platinum guests pick up the gift?
The VIFP Diamond & Platinum gift is usually available for pick-up in the Pixels Photo Gallery. Before your cruise, you should have an email sent to you by Carnival that lists out your VIFP benefits and where to redeem the benefit. Please note, these gifts are not delivered to your stateroom (it used to be this way before the pandemic but the stateroom delivery went away when Carnival restarted cruises).
This gift collection looks like it will be a great program and I hope to collect all three pieces! If any additional details are announced I will update here. Once this gift is being distributed if you have questions about how collecting the pieces will work I recommend asking the crew member onboard as you pick up your gift. Please keep in mind the VIFP gifts are subject to availability and the experience may vary depending on which gift is being distributed on your cruise. Any information is subject to change as Carnival introduces this new VIFP gift.
