Carnival Cruise Line has made changes to the VIFP Diamond & Platinum benefits that appear to be effective immediately.
$25 Casino FunPlay Dropped
The first change is Carnival is dropping the $25 Casino FunPlay. The FunPlay credits were redeemable in the casino and Diamond & Platinum guests had the option to spend the FunPlay at slots or tables. All eligible guests had to do was show up at the casino cashier station and ask for the FunPlay to be loaded onto their casino account. It was easy for Diamond & Platinum guests to get this perk. The $25 Casino FunPlay has been removed from Carnival's VIFP Club benefits page.
Brunch Beverage
The VIFP Diamond & Platinum brunch beverage used to be redeemable in the dining room during brunch. On my recent May 2024 Carnival Dream cruise the pre-cruise benefits email said "Brunch Beverage – redeemable in the dining room". While I was on my cruise I tried to redeem the benefit during brunch was told Carnival changed it to the being redeemable on the last sea day only. Now that my cruise is over Carnival's website now reflects the brunch beverage is only redeemable on the last sea day. This benefit has not gone away, but the timeline of when it can be redeemed has become more strict. I would imagine Carnival will update the pre-cruise benefits email to make this change clear.
