This week Carnival Cruise Line announced the cancellation of remaining cruise vacations that were sailing from Miami and Port Canaveral. The cancellation of these cruises came less than a week after the CDC released the Conditional Sail Order. Carnival's social media release stated the company will update guests after analysis and a plan to comply with the CDC's directives are undertaken.
At this point in time, there are no Carnival cruises with guests scheduled to depart the United States for the remainder of 2020. It is unclear when Carnival's ships will be allowed to re-enter US waters due to having to comply with multiple requirements.
Cruises from homeports other than Miami and Port Canaveral were already cancelled through the end of 2020. The ships with newly announced cancellations are the Carnival Conquest, Carnival Horizon, Carnival Sunrise, Carnival Breeze, Carnival Elation, and Carnival Liberty.
