Carnival Cruise Big Chicken Menu, Information, & Tips

The Big Chicken is onboard multiple Carnival Cruise ships. This restaurant is based Shaq's Big Chicken and has a focus on chicken related foods. As of November 2023, the Big Chicken is on the Carnival Celebration, Mardi Gras, Carnival Radiance, and scheduled to debut on Carnival Jubilee in December 2023. This post will take a look at the Big Chicken onboard menu as well as discuss some basic information about the Big Chicken on Carnival ships.

What meals is Big Chicken open for onboard?
The Big Chicken is usually open for breakfast and lunch. The exact hours may vary by day so check your Carnival Hub App or FunTimes Activity Newsletter. All Day Breakfast typically ends at 3pm. Carnival's website has conflicting information about whether the Big Chicken is open for dinner or not so if you are wanting to eat their later in the day you definitely will want to double check that it is actually open.

Can I get a grilled chicken sandwich?
Yes, you can get a chicken sandwich with grilled chicken at Big Chicken. 

Is the Big Chicken complimentary onboard Carnival ships?
Yes, the Big Chicken's foods are complimentary and you can eat as much as you want for free!

​Is the Big Chicken self-service?
You will order your food at a counter. However, there may be sauces available in a self-service station and from reports I've seen some of the sides may be available for self-service too. 

Misc. Big Chicken Tips:

• Don't let a long line discourage you at the Big Chicken. Several guests have reported that the line will usually move quickly. 
• If you want something in your chicken sandwich that may not normally come, but is available at the Big Chicken, do not be afraid to ask. Carnival crew members are usually willing to accommodate special requests that are reasonable. 
• Check the menu before ordering to see which items are considered spicy. If you like spicy foods this might help you order and if you don't like spicy foods this might help you determine which ones to avoid. The actual menu onboard has a symbol that denotes which foods are spicy.
