Morning Activities:
Woke up to heavy rain, thunder, lightning and then fog which finally lifted around midday. Obviously there would be no outdoor activities until later. After breakfast, we explored the ship starting with the Piazza area, Deck 5 Midship. Since this cruise started in late December, the Christmas decorations were still up all around the ship. Very festive!

For those passengers who wanted to exercise in a group, there was Tai Chi (8am) and Zumba (9am) each morning in Club Fusion, Deck 7 Aft. Also in Club Fusion later in the morning there were quiz games and bingo. The Library, Deck 7 Midship, was a good place on a rainy morning to spend some time looking for a special book to read or a game to play. There were many to choose from. The Internet Café, Deck 5 Midship, was open 24 hours, but staff was there at certain times of the day to help with any internet problems. Not only could the internet be accessed on computers in the Internet Cafe, but also on the Medallion app.
A fun activity to watch was the Fruit and Vegetable Carving Demonstration held in the Piazza, Deck 5 Midship. Three “carvers” from the galley used various fruits and vegetables to create interesting masterpieces.
Lunch:
We had lunch in the Horizon Court again. There were so many different kinds of food. Other places to eat included Slice, Deck 15 Midship, for pizza or the Salty Dog Grill, Deck 15 Forward, for hot dogs, hamburgers and tacos. Both had a steady stream of customers every day, all during the day. Another popular place was Coffee & Cones, Deck 15, Midship, for coffee and ice cream. The chocolate, vanilla or combination ice cream was very creamy. Highly recommend for an after lunch treat or any other time of the day since they were open until late in the evening.

Afternoon Activities:
On sea days a special activity was afternoon tea in the Da Vinci Dining Room, Deck 6 Midship, from 3-3:45 pm. It was always very well attended by both ladies and men. Hot tea, as well as small sandwiches, cookies, tarts, cakes and scones were served. The scones with whipped cream and strawberry jam were always my favorite.
Each cruise Princess honors the Veterans on board with a special place and time to meet together and share stories of their time in their branch of service. It was held in the Wheelhouse Bar, Deck 7, Forward, and as usual, it was very well attended. Princess offers onboard credit to any veteran for each cruise just by signing up before your cruise. The amount of onboard credit given depends on the length of your cruise. A very nice gesture by Princess.

Dinner & Entertainment:
A delicious dinner and then wonderful entertainment in the Princess Theater with guest vocalist AlisonWard, a talented singer from England. There were many more singers, pianists and guitarists performing in clubs and bars throughout the ship. Something for everyone.
