Towel Animals By The Main Lido Pool Area:
My morning walk started around 6:15am after getting up around 5:50am. I decided to start my walk on the Lido Deck by the main pool. The Carnival Breeze's housekeeping department spent the morning setting up a towel animal display for guests to enjoy. Towel animals were in almost every deck chair around the pool as well as hanging from a rope above the pool. I enjoyed seeing the towel animal display. The Carnival Breeze's housekeeping department did a great job setting this display up! Here are some pictures of the towel animal display:

As I walked through the towel animal display, I walked by Guy's Burger Joint which was not yet open for the day. The Carnival Breeze's Guy's Burger Joint did not serve breakfast as only a limited number of Carnival ships have this venue open for breakfast. I also walked by the Red Frog Rum Bar which was not yet open.
I walked to the back of the Lido Deck to the Tides Pool. Besides the Tides Pool is the Tides Bar that would be open later in the day. The Tides Pool had a net across it to keep as the pool was closed. While walking around the Lido Deck I went through the Lido Marketplace which was not yet serving breakfast. The buffet was empty, but later would be crowded for breakfast.
After walking around the Lido Deck, I walked down to Deck 5. I started my walk in the ship's atrium and then started heading towards the back of Deck 5. Here are some pictures I took while walking on Deck 5:
Blush Dining Room:
I walked down from the back of Deck 5 to Deck 4. The doors to the upper level of the Blush Dining Room were open so I walked in. At breakfast, the deck 3 level of the Blush Dining Room was going to be used for Sea Day Brunch. For dinner, the Blush Dining Room had guests with early and late seating. These guests had dining at a fixed time instead of Your-Time Dining. Here are some pictures taken from Deck 4 of the Bush Dining Room:

During my walk I went down to Deck 3 and went inside the Ovation Theater. The Ovation Theater was quiet and empty. I would be back inside in a few hours for the The Wave morning show. By this time in my walk it was approaching breakfast so I decided to head back to up to the Lido Marketplace.
Breakfast In The Lido Marketplace:
Once again, I ate breakfast in the Lido Marketplace. I ate some sausage, french toast, potatoes, scrambled eggs, fruit, and an apple cornet pastry. The apple cornet pastries are my favorite pastry on Carnival's ships and I typically will eat several of these during the cruise. The Carnival Breeze's continental breakfast buffet line was open from 6:30am until 10:00am. The main Lido breakfast buffet lines were open from 7:30am until 10:30am, but one line stayed open from 10:00am until 12:00pm for late risers. Sea Day Brunch was taking place in the Blush Dining Room (aft dining room) from 8:30am until 1:00pm. Here are some pictures of the food options available in the Lido Marketplace:

Carnival used to have a Dr. Suess Green Eggs & Ham themed breakfast that would take place on the last sea day of shorter cruises, but due to the Covid protocols this event was no longer taking place.
A Few Other Events That Used To Take Place That Were Not Available For This Cruise: Suess-A-Palooza, Photo Time With Dr. Suess, Zumbini, Lip Sync Battle, and the Behind the Fun Tour. Carnival was good about notifying guests on their website which events were not taking place due to the Covid protocols on their website prior to the cruise, but I thought I would mention here which events did not occur on my cruise as most of these used to take place on the last sea day. Also, Camp Ocean (youth program for 2-11 year olds) was closed during this cruise, but the program re-started a few cruises later in December 2021.
After Breakfast Walk:
After breakfast I began walking around walking around the ship's exterior decks, starting at the back of Deck 10. By the Tides Pool there is a beverage station that is kind of hidden. There is juice machine and coffee machine. This was kind of hidden and is great for people enjoying the pool outside. However, I don't think this area had an ice/water machine.

I walked by the ship's WaterWorks area which was not yet open for the day. Shortly before I left deck 12 the water starting running and a crew member was preparing the WaterWorks for opening.
While at the front of Deck 12, I walked up to Deck 15. The Serenity Adults Only Retreat had a few guests already lounging. I also saw the ship's coin while walking around. However, I will not spoil the exact location as some people try to find the ship's coin without having any clues. If you want to know the exact location of the ship's coin please feel free to contact me!
I walked from Deck 15 down to Deck 5. I decided to go outside to look at the water and walk around the Lanai for some excercise. The sun had risen and the water was nice and blue. The weather was great!
While walking inside Deck 5, I saw the Limelight Lounge was empty so I opened the door and stepped inside. Here are some pictures I took of the Limelight Lounge:

The Wave Morning Show:
The Wave Morning Show was scheduled for 9:00am in the Ovation Theater or on the Carnival Breeze's stateroom TVs. The show this morning was hosted once again by our cruise director, Erin. The show consisted of several jokes, information about events taking place on the ship during our last sea day, and information about shopping onboard. The show was interesting and informational. |
VIFP Platinum Sea Day Brunch Drink:
Prior to getting on the Carnival Breeze, Carnival notified me that the VIFP Platinum & Diamond benefits were a little different due to the Covid protocols. One of the changes was no coupon would be delivered for the VIFP Platinum drink, but instead I could use my Sail & Sign card at the main dining room during brunch for my free drink. I went to the Blush Dining Room after the morning show and told the hostess that I wanted to use my free Platinum drink. She flagged down a waitress to take my order. I got the fruit punch, which was very good! While waiting for my drink, I noticed that the check-in process for the Sea Day Brunch was also done through the Carnival Hub App. Guests who were walking up without checking in were asked to digitally check-in on the app. There was a minimal number of guests standing around the entrance as if there is wait the app is supposed to notify guests when their table is ready. |
After drinking my fruit punch, I went to the front of deck 9 to look out. My favorite part of sea days is looking out at the nice blue water!
Last Lunch In The Lido Marketplace:
Today was our fourth and final lunch on the Carnival Breeze. The lunch options for today were as follows:
Today was our fourth and final lunch on the Carnival Breeze. The lunch options for today were as follows:
- Seafood Shack - The Seafood Shack is located at the back of the lido buffet by the aft pool. This venue costs extra and was open from 11:00am until 5:00pm for lunch and was also open for dinner from 5:00pm until 10:00pm.
- Blue Iguana Cantina - 12:00pm - 2:30pm
- Bonsai Sushi - This dining option is located on Deck 5 and costs extra. Bonsai Sushi serves a variety of different sushi related dishes. For lunch, this venue was open from 12:00pm until 2:30pm.
- Guy's Pig & Anchor Smokehouse (BBQ) - This dining venue is located on the Lanai on Deck 5 and is complimentary. A variety of BBQ options are served here. The Carnival Breeze's BBQ line was open from 12:00pm until 2:30pm.
- Pasta Bar - The pasta bar offers guests the ability to create a customized bowl of pasta. Essentially, guests fill out a paper form that gives options of what can be put in a pasta bowl. The form is turned into a hostess and a crew member makes the bowl of pasta. Caesar salads and garlic bread are also available. This venue was open from 12:00pm until 2:30pm.
- Guy's Burger Joint - 12:00pm - 6:00pm
- The Chocolate Extravaganza was also open for our last lunch in the Lido buffet. This line's hours were from 12:00pm until 2:30pm.
- The deli was open for lunch, but was also available for dinner (it closed at 11pm).
Chocolate Extravaganza:
Since today was the last day of the cruise, the Carnival Breeze's Lido Marketplace was serving the Chocolate Extravaganza buffet line. The Chocolate Extravaganza buffet line took up an entire section of the buffet and consisted of a variety of chocolate dishes. Besides various chocolate desserts, the crew were making ice cream swans for guests. Here are a few pictures of the Chocolate Extravaganza buffet line:

For lunch, I walked to the Pasta Bar which is on Deck 11 above the Lido Marketplace. The Pasta Bar is located inside Cucina Del Capitano and is complimentary at lunch. I was greeted by hostess who gave me a sheet of paper to fill out with my pasta selections. The form also had a spot to request bread and caesar salad. Normally guests eat in the Cucina Del Capitano venue for the pasta bar at lunch, but I asked for a to-go order. The hostess took my paper when I was done and within about 10 minutes I had my food. I carried it down to Deck 10 to eat in the Lido Marketplace. Here are my pictures of my food from the pasta bar:
After eating my food, I visited the Chocolate Extravaganza dessert line. I had a rum cake, which was good. I also had some cantaloupe, honeydew, and a donut that were dipped in the chocolate fountain. A crew member was making ice cream swans as well. Three flavors (vanilla, chocolate, and strawberry) were available. I asked for a vanilla ice cream swan.
Holiday Show/Christmas Show In The Ovation Theater
At 1:00pm in the Ovation Theater, the "Holiday Show" was scheduled. This show featured a variety of Christmas songs, the Playlist Productions cast, and ended with Santa coming up to the stage. The show lasted about 30 minutes and was good. Our cruise director, Erin, and the Playlist Cast did a great job performing. This show did not replace one of the regular production shows, but instead was performing in addition to the normal shows that take place in the evening. |
Quick Trip To Guy's Pig & Anchor BBQ:
I had been wanting to try the Carnival Breeze's Pig & Anchor BBQ, but time had run out on this cruise so after the show I headed to Deck 5 to get some food. I was not hungry as I was full from lunch, but I got myself a plate because I wanted to sample the food. I had some smoked beef, pork butt, and collared greens. The smoked beef was good. However, I loved the pork butt and collared greens. The seasoning was great and I really enjoyed this plate of food. I did not intend on eating the whole thing, but I did and felt extra full afterwards. My hope was to get some pictures of the food at Guy's Pig & Anchor BBQ, but the line was too long for me to hop in for some pictures. |
After eating an extra meal at Guy's Pig & Anchor BBQ, I took a walk around the ship. The interior lounges were busy with different events and activities taking place. The outside decks were also busy with people lounging in the sun or in the pools. I did not take too many pictures throughout the afternoon, but here are some pictures I took:
Sunset:
Before dinner, I went to the front of the ship on Deck 6 to take a look at the sunset. We were heading north into some dark clouds, but the sunset was still able to be seen. It was getting close to time for dinner, but I took a detour on Deck 5 and walked once around the Lanai before heading to Deck 3 for the dining room.

Last Dinner In The Sapphire Dining Room:
Tonight was our last dinner in the Sapphire Dining Room. At 5:25pm, the Carnival Hub App began allowing check-in for dinner. We got assigned the same table and when the doors opened our waiter was helping seat guests so he took us to our same table. He and the rest of the team remembered our drink orders from the previous nights. Our bread choices for the night were rustic french and ciabatta. The waitstaff remembered we each were getting one of each so they brought both to our table right away. The food and service were great on this night as well as the entire cruise!

For my appetizers, I had fried shrimp and caesar salad. Both were very good! For my main course, I had the enchiladas. These enchiladas had black beans and vegetables inside as well as cheese. The taste reminded me of the chicken quesadilla appetizer from the first night of the cruise, but in enchilada form. I greatly enjoyed this main course! For dessert, I had baked alaska which is essentially an ice cream cake with meringue.
Playlist Productions Show: "Flick"
Tonight's Playlist Productions show was "Flick". This show had a variety of songs and soundtracks from movies. The effects in this show are very neat and the dancers & singers did a great job! The show took place twice in the Ovation Theater. One of the showtimes was 7:45pm and the other was 9:45pm. Prior to the show starting, guests were reminded that the mask policy of "sip & cover" was in full-effect and that guests need to wear masks. Crew were standing at the entrance of the Ovation Theater when the doors opened passing out masks to those who needed one. Despite having to wear a mask, the show was great! I have seen Flick on other past cruises and this may have been the best performance of the show that I have ever seen! |
After the show ended, I went up to Deck 5 to around the ship's Lanai. The Lanai was very empty, except for a few guests using the designated smoking section. Here are some pictures I took while walking around:
Stateroom Turndown For The Evening:
I stopped by my stateroom to change camera batteries and saw our stateroom steward came by to clean the room, make up the beds, and leave a new towel animal. Our towel animal had a business-card sized paper in its mouth that thanked us for cruising and reminded us that we had to leave the stateroom by 8:30 in the morning. Our steward did a great job this cruise and I appreciate his hard work! |
After running by my stateroom, I went up to the Lido Marketplace buffet for some water. Once I had some water, I went and walked around some of the ship's upper exterior decks. At 8:30pm, Christmas carols were taking place by the main Lido pool on Deck 10. I saw guests were given jingle bells to ring along with the Christmas carols.
Around 9:30 I started walking back to my stateroom because I needed to pack before going to bed. When I got back to my stateroom, I packed everything that I would not need in the morning up. I spent around 10 minutes packing and then went to sleep. I wanted to get to sleep in order to wake up extra early on the last morning to get one last walk around the ship in before having to get off!
