Very Early Morning Wake-Up From The Pilot Boat:
My alarm was set to go off around 4:30am because I wanted to have time to finish packing and still have time to walk around the ship one last time before getting off. Right before my alarm went off, I was woken up by a very bright light shining through my stateroom window. I opened the curtain to look and saw the Galveston Pilot boat alongside the Carnival Breeze. The pilot was boarding to assist the ship navigate the local waterway. Here are some pictures I took from my window:

Last Morning Walk:
By 5:00am I was out walking around the Carnival Breeze. I had a few last minute things to pack before starting my morning walk so I took care of those little things right before leaving for my morning walk. My suitcase was packed and zipped, which meant I could enjoy the rest of the cruise without having to worry about packing!
I started on Deck 10 in the Lido Marketplace. The ship's buffet was closed at this time, but would be open around 6:00am to start serving breakfast. Here are few pictures of the Lido Marketplace:

After walking through the Lido Marketplace, I stepped outside by the Tides Pool. The outside area was quiet except for some crew members cleaning. While outside I was able to see that we were approaching Galveston quickly and could see the lights of the Bolivar Peninsula in the distance.
While on the Lido Deck I walked by the ship's main lido pool area. There were a couple of questions walking around out here, but it was also very quiet. The outside decks were wet. I think it had rained before we went outside because the weather radar showed scattered showers were in the area.
From the Lido Deck, I walked up to Deck 12. The ship's golf course was closed for the night and would not re-open until the next cruise started. Since I could now see Galveston clearly besides us, I turned my cell phone off of airplane mode. When I saw that I was connected to a cell phone tower and not subject to roaming charges, I started looking at missed text messages.
I also stopped by the ship's Serenity Adults Only Retreat on Deck 15 real quick before heading inside. The very front of the Serenity had poor lighting and the chairs were close together. I almost tripped while walking around.
When I was done walking around the ship's exterior upper decks, I walked down the stairs to Deck 5. I decided to walk to the back of Deck 5. Here are a couple of pictures I took on my walk to the back of Deck 5:
Club 02 Youth Lounge:
After walking around Deck 5, I went down to Deck 4. I stepped inside the Club 02 youth program lounge. Club 02 is the youth program for cruisers that are 15-17 years old and this area is used for their games, events, and activities. The specific activities offered for cruisers in this age group were posted on the Carnival Hub App. Here are a few pictures of the Club 02 lounge:

Last Breakfast On The Carnival Breeze:
Today was our last breakfast on the Carnival Breeze. The Lido Buffet's continental breakfast and main buffet lines were open from 6:00am until 9:00am. By the Lido pool, the Blue Iguana Cantina was open from 7:00am until 9:00am. For cruisers that did not want to eat in the ship's buffet, the Blush Aft Dining Room was open from 6:30am until 8:30am for open seating. Here are some pictures of the food served in the Lido Marketplace:

During breakfast the Carnival Breeze docked at Cruise Terminal #1. When I was done eating, I stepped outside by the Tides Pool to have a look out from the back. The Adventure of the Seas was docked behind us at Cruise Terminal #2. The Carnival Breeze had turned around prior to docking.
Before going back to my stateroom, I decided to walk to the back of Deck 5 to try to get a better look at the Adventure of the Seas and Galveston. Here are a few photos I took from the back of the Lanai on Deck 5:
Since I did not spend too much time on Deck 5, I decided I had enough time to walk to the front of Deck 9 to look out from the front of the ship. Here are a few photos I took from the front area of Deck 9:
Disembarking The Carnival Breeze:
On the last sea day a letter was delivered to my stateroom that said VIFP Platinum guests were allowed to debark early and could arrive in the Ovation Theater at 7:15am prior to debarkation. This time was only for VIFP Platinum guests that were doing self-assist debarkation and did not check any luggage outside their stateroom. I arrived in the lounge a little before 7:15am and a crew member was seating everyone in order of arrival. Guests who arrived in the Ovation Theater first were first in line to get off. The seating was very controlled and organized. A few minutes before the ship was given clearance, the crew members working the lounge made an announcement that we would be told when we could get up to leave. When the time came, the crew members went row by row to get people out of the lounge in the order they arrived. When my row was called I got up and took my suitcase to the back of the Ovation Theater. We were directed into the ship's atrium to have our Sail & Sign Cards scanned by security. Security was at the gangway scanning Sail & Sign cards. After getting our Sail & Sign Cards scanned we exited the ship and went down the gangway. Going through customs was very quick and easy. From the time of stepping off the ship, it took less than 10 minutes to be outside of the cruise terminal because of how fast and efficient the debarkation process now was. Note: For a cruiser to get off as self assist, he or she must carry off all luggage and bags. All self assist guests would be allowed off before the general disembarkation guests. |
Here are a few pictures I took as I walked down the gangway leaving the Carnival Breeze:
Overall, I enjoyed this cruise on the Carnival Breeze and wish I was still on the ship. The crew members did a great job and worked hard. Our food throughout the cruise was good.
