Walking Back To The Ship - Entering The Pier:
In order to walk back onto the pier, we had to go through a security checkpoint. We had to show our Sail & Sign card to the security guard. The security guard was checking Sail & Sign cards for ship names and sailing dates. There was no wait at this security checkpoint. Once this was done we were able to walk onto the pier. We had to walk through the long shop on the pier before being able to get back to the ship.

Before heading back to the Carnival Breeze, I walked on the other part of the pier to get a few pictures of the Carnival Breeze from a different angle, but also to take a few pictures of the Carnival Celebration. I took many pictures of the Carnival Celebration, but since this is a Carnival Breeze cruise review I will share these pictures another time. I was amazed seeing the large glass windows that spanned 3 decks on the Carnival Celebration. This was home to the Grand Central onboard which is used for some shows, events, and has LED screens that cover the windows. Based on the pictures I have seen online, it looks like a neat concept on this class of ship.
Getting Back On The Carnival Breeze:
After walking up the Carnival Breeze's gangway we had our Sail & Sign cards scanned. This was done by a security guard with a handheld tablet. As each person's card was scanned their picture appeared on the screen for security to verify the identity of the cruiser. After getting our Sail & Sign card scanned we had to go through the metal detector & bag screening. All electronic items had to be emptied from our pockets and placed in a bin to go through a separate scanning. Bags, purses, and backpacks also had to be scanned separately. The security checkpoint did not take long! After proceeding through this checkpoint we were free to leave Deck 0. Before going to lunch I went up to my stateroom on Deck 2 to wash hands. I did not stay in the room long because I was hungry and ready to head up to the Lido! |
Lunch From The Carnival Breeze's Guy's Burger Joint:
I decided to eat at the Guy's Burger Joint today for lunch since the line was not too long. Guy's Burger Joint is located on the Lido Deck close to the main pool (opposite side of the ship from the Blue Iguana). Guests eating at Guy's Burger Joint will line up and tell the crew member which burger they would like. The options are Plain Jane, Straight Up, The Ringer, Chilius Maximus, & Pig Patty. Hand cut fries are also available from Guy's Burger Joint. The fries have changed, but were still good. The seasoning was the same as always, but the fries tasted a little different. The line was very short when I came up to the counter. I ordered a Straight Up burger with fries. The burger had lettuce, tomato, onion, pickle, Donkey Sauce (sort of like mayo), a hamburger patty, and buns. I liked the grilled taste of the hamburger patty. |
There is a toppings station right outside of Guy's Burger Joint. Guests can add things like extra lettuce, tomato, onion, pickles, peppers, sauteed onions, chili, and more. There are also sauces available to guests in a dispenser.
Lido Marketplace Lunch:
Even though the ship's buffet was open for lunch during our port of call stop in Cozumel, the buffet was partially reduced due to most guests being off the ship. According to the daily FunTimes activity newsletter, these were our lunch options aboard the Carnival Breeze for the day:
Note: Guy's Pig & Anchor BBQ and Bonsai Sushi were both closed at lunch. Bonsai Sushi was open starting at 5pm until midnight, but Guy's Pig & Anchor was closed for the entire day.
Here are some pictures from the Lido Marketplace's salad bar and Comfort Kitchen buffet line:

Getting Back Off To Cozumel:
While eating lunch, the skies opened up and the weather changed from cloudy to nice! I decided to get back off to take a few more pictures. Getting off on Deck 0 was easy. Security was standing around as nobody else was getting off at this time. There also were no other guests getting back on the ship at this time either.

Security was standing around as nobody else was getting off at this time. There also were no other guests getting back on the ship at this time either.
I walked along the Puerta Maya Beach area and took a few pictures. My plan was to leave Puerta Maya and walk back to the International Pier to take some more pictures of the ship from there.
Getting back on the pier was quick and easy. We had to show our Sail & Sign cards and then had to walk through the long shops. Once again, the shops were crowded and aisles were difficult to navigate. The Carnival Celebration was getting close to its "back onboard" time so most of the guests in the shops & on the pier were walking back to the Carnival Celebration.
The Carnival Breeze's gangway had a short line to get back onboard. I got my Sail & Sign card scanned and then was directed through the security checkpoint. It was a quick and easy process overall. Once back onboard, I stopped by room and then headed outside to Deck 5.
The Guy's Pig & Anchor BBQ on the Deck 5 Lanai was not open for today's lunch. However, guests were able to enjoy Guy's Pig & Anchor BBQ every other lunch of this cruise.
When I was walking inside I saw the Deck 3 level of the Sapphire Dining Room was opened. This was our dining room so I stepped inside to take some pictures since I had not previously taken many on this cruise.
Our afternoon in Cozumel went by fast. Around the late afternoon I went outside to the front of deck 9 to look out. There were people walking back to the Carnival Celebration, but it was looking like the ship was getting ready to sail. The Carnival Breeze had a steady stream of passengers walking down the pier to get back on.
While outside I walked along Deck 12 before heading down to deck 5.
The Carnival Celebration departed about an hour before us. The ship turned around after leaving and headed towards Costa Maya. I watched the ship depart from the back of Deck 5. It was fun seeing the Carnival Celebration for the first time today!
Dinner In The Main Dining Room:
Tonight was our fourth dinner of the cruise and once again we ate in the Sapphire Dining Room for Your-Time Dining. The Carnival Hub App's Your-Time Dining check-in opened a few minutes prior to dinner and at 5:30pm the doors to the Sapphire Dining Room opened. We showed our table assignment and were taken to the same table as the previous nights. The dining room was much busier than the previous night. Shortly after sitting down I looked outside and saw the Carnival Breeze had departed Cozumel. We turned around and started the journey back to Galveston. For tonight's dinner I had the Flat Bread and Caesar Salad for appetizers. This my first time having Flat Bread and it reminded me of a BBQ pizza. For main course, I had the Cornmeal Crusted Chicken Breast. I have not eaten this as a main course since the pre-Covid days and thought it was good. For dessert, I had apple pie. The apple pie was tasty and came with a small side of ice cream. |
Below are screenshots of the main dining room menus on the Carnival Hub App:
Below are pictures of the food from my table tonight:
After dinner I went outside to look at the sunset. I was able to see the Mexico mainland in the distance. This was a great sunset and I'm glad I was able to catch the sunset!
Playlist Productions Show: "Flick"
Tonight's Playlist Productions show was "Flick". This show had a variety of songs and soundtracks from movies. The effects in this show are very neat and the dancers & singers did a great job! The show took place twice in the Ovation Theater. One of the showtimes was 7:30pm and the other was 9:30pm. Doors opened to the Ovation Theater approximately 30 minutes before the show started. Our cruise director, Shy, hosted a Red Carpet Event in the Carnival Breeze's atrium that streamed into the Ovation Theater's screens as pre-show entertainment. This was interesting to see and I do not recall seeing this on any other past cruises that have shown Flick. |
By 8:15pm the show was over. I walked around outside on the Deck 5 Lanai for a little while and then headed up to the Lido Deck for some water. Before going back to my stateroom I walked around Deck 12 to take some pictures of the Carnival Breeze after dark.
