First Morning Walk Around The Carnival Breeze:
I woke up around 6:00am and was ready to walk around the Carnival Breeze by 6:30am. It was still dark outside and the interior of the ship was very quiet. My walk began on Deck 3 in the front. I stepped into the Ovation Theater. The room was quiet, but some of the auxiliary lights were turned on. We would be back in the Ovation Theater for The Wave Morning Show in a few hours.

The Carnival Breeze's atrium lobby was also very empty. One side of the atrium is home to the Carnival Adventures Shore Excursions desk and the other side is home to Guest Services. The Carnival Adventures desk was not yet opened for the day, but would be open later to sell shore excursions. During closed hours guests could still purchase shore excursions on the Carnival Hub App or at Guest Services.
I stepped into the Deck 3 level of the Sapphire Dining Room. A couple of crew members were working, but the dining room was quiet. Sea Day Brunch was taking place in the Blush Dining Room so the Sapphire Dining Room was unused until dinner.
After walking on Deck 3, I went up to Deck 4.I stepped into the Carnival Breeze's Library. This space used to the Library Bar, but the self-service wine dispensers were removed a while back. The library had a few books and games available.
Near the back area of Deck 4 is The Warehouse arcade. The arcade games utilize Sail & Sign cards for charging. There are a variety of arcade games available on the ship with varying prices.
The very back of Deck 4 is home to the Carnival Breeze's Blush Dining Room. This dining room is located on Decks 3 and 4 and is utilized for Sea Day Brunch, port of call day breakfast, and fixed seating dinner times.
While I was the back of Deck 4, I walked up to Deck 5. My first stop was the Carnival Breeze's Limelight Lounge. The room smelled freshly cleaned and was extremely cold.
My plan for walking around Deck 5 was to go from the back to the front. I passed through Piano Bar 88 and by Bonsai Sushi. Bonsai Sushi serves sushi dishes ala carte. As this was a sea day, Bonsai Sushi was open at both lunch & dinner.
On the Carnival Breeze, the Ocean Plaza is located in the middle of Deck 5. The Ocean Plaza serves as a place for live music in the evenings, trivia or activities during the day, and a place to sit. Right by the Ocean Plaza is the Carnival Breeze's Coffee Bar that serves a variety of specialty coffees & drinks at an ala carte price. The Coffee Bar was not yet open when we walked by, but was open later and had a decent line every time we walked back during the morning.
The atrium area of Deck 5 has Carnival's Fun Shops on both sides of the ship. One side sells jewelry & perfume type products while the other side sells Carnival logo items & alcoholic beverages. Carnival's Cherry on Top candy store is also located on Deck 5 in the atrium level.
After walking on Deck 5, I went outside to Deck 12. The sun was beginning to rise, but it was still dark outside.
The mini golf course and ropes course were not yet open for the day. Crew members were working on cleaning the areas around the mini golf course and jogging track.
When it started getting close to time for breakfast, I walked down to the back of Deck 11. I was able to get some pictures of the sunrise.
First Breakfast on the Carnival Breeze:
Our first breakfast on the Carnival Breeze was in the Lido Marketplace. The continental breakfast line was open starting at 6:30am and served pastries & fruit. At 7:30am the main breakfast lines opened in the Lido Marketplace. Carnival's Blue Iguana Cantina also opened at 7:30am to serve breakfast tacos and burritos. Carnival alternates the exact food choices available for breakfast each day. On this cruise bacon & french toast were served every other morning. Each morning Carnival had at least one type of sausage and potato available, but the exact variety varied. Pancakes were served on days when french toast was not available. Each morning yogurt, milk, bagels, waffles, jelly, and cheeses could be found on the buffet line. Below are pictures from the Carnival Breeze's Lido Marketplace main breakfast line:

After breakfast I walked up to Deck 12. The sun had now fully risen and it was a nice morning outside. The Gulf of Mexico waters were a little choppy, but later in the day would be the worse rocking I've ever been in.
Before heading to the Ovation Theater for the morning show, I walked on Deck 5. The deck was mostly empty, including the smoking areas.
The Wave Live Morning Show:
The Carnival Breeze's Wave Morning Show was happening at 9:15am in the Ovation Theater and would be broadcast on the Seaside Theater & stateroom TVs. Our cruise director, Amber, and fun squad member, Chrissy, hosted today's morning show. The show discussed things happening around the ship during our sea day and was information & entertaining. This show lasted close to 30 minutes and was enjoyable! While the morning show was happening, Bingo card sales were taking place for a $1,000 Mystery Bingo game that was taking place in the Ovation Theater at 9:45am. |
