Morning Walk & Towel Animals By The Pool:
I slept very good and got up early again to walk around the ship. Since the clocks were set back an hour at 2am due to Daylight Savings Time ending, I had to try to figure out if my phone & watch automatically updated or not when my alarm went off. My IPhone did not automatically change and neither did my watch so I was awake at 5:15am. I stayed in bed until 6am and then got ready to walk around the ship. My first stop for the morning was the Lido Deck since the housekeeping department placed towel animals by the pool & in the deck chairs.

It's always fun to see Carnival's housekeeping team do the towel animals by the pool! Since the clocks had been adjusted, the morning was nice and filled with sunlight. The sun had almost risen by the time we started walking around the ship.
I walked down to the Carnival Breeze's Deck 5 level. The atrium area had a large flag hanging in front of the glass elevators. This was because the Military Appreciation Gathering would be taking place in the afternoon. I went from the front to the back of Deck 5 for my morning walk. For the most part Deck 5 was empty except for a few people already playing slots in the Winner's Luck Casino or forming an early line at the coffee bar.
While walking around I went down to deck 3. I stepped inside the Ovation Theater which was empty. The first event of the day happening in the Ovation Theater was The Wave Morning Show.
The Green Eggs & Ham Breakfast was taking place in the Sapphire Dining Room on this morning of the cruise. This event has a Dr. Suess themed menu and décor. Carnival charges a reservation fee per guest to dine in this event. I walked through the Sapphire Dining Room before the event and was able to take a few pictures of the decorated tables:
Since it was getting close to breakfast I headed back up to Deck 10. I looked around the Tides Aft Pool for a few minutes. The sun had already risen fully and it was looking like the weather was going to be nice!
While outside I decided to quickly walk up to Deck 15. The Serenity Adults Only Retreat was empty and there were no towels or belongings left by guests to reserve seats.
Breakfast In The Lido Marketplace:
For today's breakfast I ate in the Lido Marketplace again. The Carnival Breeze's continental breakfast buffet line was open starting at 6:30am. The main Lido breakfast buffet lines were open from 7:30am until 10:30am, but one line stayed open from 10:30am until 11:30am for late risers. Sea Day Brunch was taking place in the Blush Dining Room (aft dining room) from 8:30am until 12pm. Carnival serviced bacon and french toast on this morning of the cruise. Due to the clock changing, the buffet was packed when the lines opened. People must have forgotten to set their clocks back and arrived early! This was the morning with the longest buffet lines and it was difficult to find a table for two by 7:45am.

I have pictures of the continental breakfast buffet line pictures, but I'm excluding from this day's review since I am consolidating pages.
After breakfast I had a little bit of time before The Wave Morning Show so we walked around for a little while! I went outside to look out from Deck 9. It was nice and quiet outside except for the wind hitting the front of the ship.

I went back to Deck 5 and walked by Bonsai Sushi before stopping to enter the Red Frog Pub. Crew had just set up a few chairs outside the Red Frog Pub's TV screen. The Red Frog Pub was not opened for the day, but would be in a little while.
The Wave Live Morning Show:
The Wave Live Morning Show was taking place in the Ovation Theater at 9:15am. Our cruise director, Amber, and Fun Squad, Chrissy, once again hosted the morning show. It was a fun and informative morning show. They both were great and made the morning show fun! After the morning show the Ovation Theater was going to be used for the Towel Folding Fun class. As we left the morning show we saw many people coming in for the towel folding event. Guests could grab towels in the back for use in making towel animals during the event. The Debarkation Presentation was also taking place on this morning of the cruise at 10:30am. Carnival always highly recommends at least one guest per party attends the debarkation presentation. |
Following the morning show we walked back to our stateroom. Our stateroom attendant, Alex, had come by to clean the room and left another towel animal. After being in the room a few minutes I realized we were close to the Carnival Vista. We went outside to the front of Deck 9 and watched as the Carnival Vista approached us. The ship had left Galveston the day prior and was on its last sailing from Galveston before repositioning.
Last Lunch In The Lido Marketplace:
Today was our last sea day, which meant it was also our last lunch onboard the Carnival Breeze for this cruise. Our options for the final lunch of the cruise were as follows:
Today was our last sea day, which meant it was also our last lunch onboard the Carnival Breeze for this cruise. Our options for the final lunch of the cruise were as follows:
- Seafood Shack - The Seafood Shack is located at the back of the lido buffet by the aft pool. This venue costs extra and was open from 11:00am until 5:00pm for lunch and was also open for dinner from 5:00pm until 10:00pm.
- Blue Iguana Cantina - 12:00pm - 2:30pm
- Bonsai Sushi - This dining option is located on Deck 5 and costs extra. Bonsai Sushi serves a variety of different sushi related dishes. For lunch, this venue was open from 12:00pm until 2:30pm.
- Guy's Pig & Anchor Smokehouse (BBQ) - This dining venue is located on the Lanai on Deck 5 and is complimentary. A variety of BBQ options are served here. The Carnival Breeze's BBQ line was open from 12:00pm until 2:30pm.
- Pasta Bar - The pasta bar offers guests the ability to create a customized bowl of pasta. Essentially, guests fill out a paper form that gives options of what can be put in a pasta bowl. The form is turned into a hostess and a crew member makes the bowl of pasta. Caesar salads and garlic bread are also available. This venue was open from 12:00pm until 2:30pm.
- Guy's Burger Joint - 12:00pm - 6:00pm
- The deli was open for lunch, but was also available for dinner (it closed at 11pm).
- The Sea Day Brunch ended at 12pm in the Blush Dining Room so if any guests planned to eat brunch they needed to do so prior to 12pm.
I was most excited for the key lime pie being served on this final day's lunch. I have loved Carnival's key lime pie for years and this time it tasted just as good as I remembered!
After lunch I was stuffed, but walked around a little while. I visited the front of deck 9 to look out from the front. It was a bit cloudier than earlier in the day, but the weather was still pretty nice!
Q&Awesome With Our Cruise Director:
At 2:15pm in the Ovation Theater our cruise director, Amber, was hosting a Q&A event. Guests were allowed to ask any questions, but were specifically told in advance that questions regarding pay or shipboard security were not allowed. Amber got many questions from guests about life onboard the Carnival Breeze, how to work on a cruise ship, where she buys her outfits, and many more. The questions were very interesting and I enjoyed this event! While the Q&Awesome was taking place Bingo card sales were taking place on the sides of the Ovation Theater. This would be the last bingo game of the cruise and was for a $5,000 jackpot. |
After the Q&Awesome I went outside on Deck 7. It was mostly cloudy outside, but felt so nice. It sprinkled a little bit, but did not rain.
We started packing during the afternoon to make the evening a little easier, but left out what we needed for the rest of the night and morning. We were going to do self-assist debarkation so there was no need to put anything outside the stateroom door for Carnival's luggage team to take. I'll discuss the debarkation process more in the last part of the cruise review.
Last Dinner Of The Cruise:
Tonight was our last dinner this cruise. The Carnival Hub App opened for check-in around 5:25pm and by 5:30pm we were seated in the Sapphire Dining Room. We had our same waitstaff again tonight. The dining room was very empty again on this night. Maybe people on our cruise ate later, but this was the slowest dining room night I'd ever seen. Some waitstaff were consolidating sections and helping each other out since there were so few people. For my appetizers I had Fried Tomatoes and Caesar Salad. For my main course I had enchiladas. I love these enchiladas and am glad Carnival continues to keep these on the main dining room dinner menu. For dessert, I had Baked Alaska. Everything tasted very good! |
Below are the menus for tonight's dinner from the Carnival Hub App. Click any of the menu pictures to make it larger!
Our food choices for tonight were identical so I have less food pictures to share. Below are my plates from tonight's dinner:
After dinner we walked around the ship for a while. The Ovation Theater was hosting "The World Works Here" at 7:30pm, but we decided not to attend. This show showcases the different nationalities that work onboard the Carnival Breeze and then the Playlist Productions performers sing songs above love. Our walk around the ship started on Deck 5, but the back of the Lanai was closed.
Since the Lanai was closed we ended up on the jogging track on Deck 12. It was mostly empty except for a guy jogging. The "Spiderman: Across The Spiderverse" movie was playing on the Carnival Breeze's Seaside Theater and we were able to hear the movie as we walked the jogging track. Due to the time change it was already dark outside, but this allowed us to see oil rigs in the distance.
