Carnival Miracle 2013 7-Day Alaska Cruise Review
Day 3        June  13, 2013            Tracy Arm Fjord Scenic Cruising Day

Day's Overview:   Today was a scenic day through the Tracy Arm Fjord.  I enjoyed the Tracy Arm Fjord and wished that the ship could have spent more time in the fjord.  I woke up early on this day to get to the outside decks to get a good looking spot.  The ship entered the Tracy Arm Fjord earlier than I expected.

There were more trees than I expected.
Breakfast:    I had an omelet again for breakfast.  Once again I could serve my own bacon!  Breakfast was good.  Many people woke up early on this day to be able to get good spots for watching the entrance to Tracy Arm Fjord.  Horatio's was very crowded and it was hard to get a good seat.  People who are going on this ship or cruise might want to consider getting to breakfast early in order to get seat.

Taste Bar Menu:

In Day 2's review I promised to post a picture of the Taste Bar's Menu.  The picture to the left is the menu.   Click the picture to make it larger.  Each day that the Taste Bar was open it featured something different from around the fleet.  Some featured eateries the Miracle had, but many others can be found on newer or upgraded Carnival ships.

Inside Tracy Arm Fjord:
I enjoyed the Tracy Arm Fjord! I used my balcony part of the day and then used the outside upper decks in the afternoon.  The picture of a ship to the right was docked with our ship to get some passengers off to do a shore excursion. The shore excursion brought the people close to the shoreline.  I do not know the price or length of the excursion.

Due to the many pictures taken in the Tracy Arm Fjord and me not knowing what each picture is of I am not going to include any major captions on the Tracy Arm pictures below.  The review will continue giving more information after this set of Tracy Arm Fjord pictures.  The pictures below are arranged in a photo gallery style:

Horatio's Lido Buffet Grill:

This cruise was my 7th Carnival Cruise and I tried the grill for the first time.  The grill served hot dogs, hamburgers, chicken tenders, french fries, homemade chips, and some salsa.  The traditional hot dog and hamburger toppings were available.  I had chicken tenders with french fries.  The chicken tenders were good, but the french fries were ok.
The waters of the Tracy Arm Fjord had many ice chunks that broke off from the Sawyer Glacier.  Sometimes in quiet areas of the ships I was able to hear crackling from the ice chunks.  Throughout the day I was thinking about how the Titanic hit an iceberg.

Below are some pictures taken inside the Tracy Arm Fjord.  These pictures are  also in a photo gallery format which means that I will not have my typical captions as in prior parts of the review.  Enjoy the scenery.  The weather was very nice and actually hot!  I really enjoyed the Tracy Arm Fjord and wished the ship could have stayed longer.   Here are some more pictures:
Sawyer Glacier:   This was my favorite part of the Tracy Arm Fjord.  This is the Sawyer Glacier.  The ship didn't get very close so I had to use the zoom in feature on my camera to get some of these pictures.  The ship remaining stopped for about 45 minutes to an hour because the little excursion boat was embarking and disembarking more passengers.  This was a nice view to park by.

During the afternoon I spent a lot of time on the outside decks looking at the scenery and taking pictures.  Many waterfalls had been formed throughout the Tracy Arm Fjord.

The two pictures below were taken in the late afternoon.  The first picture is the funnel with a snow covered peak in the background.  The second picture looked nice so I decided to make it bigger.  The two pictures are made a little bigger to give your eyes a break from viewing 3 photos in a row.

Dinner in Main Dining Room:     Once again dinner was very good in the main dining room!  I didn't post names of the food items because I currently don't remember what food is named.  I took more pictures on this night of the cruise food, so enjoy!
