Breakfast: Each day there were three possibilities for breakfast. Café Breakfast consisting of coffee and pastries was served from 6:00am-11:00am at the coffee station in front of the Lounge. Continental Breakfast consisting of a selection of beverages and breakfast items was available from 6:00am-10:30am on the Aquavit Terrace. Buffet Breakfast consisting of a wide variety of breakfast foods as well as many dishes cooked to order was available in the Restaurant from 7:00am-9:30am. We loved all the choices the buffet provided and ate there each morning.
Shore Excursions: Before leaving the ship, each guest was required to pick up a coach assignment card(A,B,C,D) and a card with his/her name and ship name giving location of ship and phone #. This card had two purposes. First, you had the information needed to get back to the ship if you were separated from the group and second, to account for your return to ship. If you didn’t turn in your cards, your name was called to make sure you were onboard before sailing. Each guest was provided a receiver with earphone to take with you in order to hear the tour guide during the tour. The guide told you before starting the tour which channel he/she would be using. These receivers were very helpful because you could be at the back of the tour group and still hear what the guide was telling the group.
Included Excursion – Panoramic Paris: The day was a misty rain but that didn’t keep us from enjoying the many sights of Paris. The tour which began at 9:30am included a stop at the Eiffel Tower for pictures and then a drive throughout the Right Bank. Normally the Left Bank would be toured first, but this was Armistice Day and many of the streets of the Right Bank were closed during the morning, especially the one at the Arc de Triomphe where the French President was leading a celebration. We stopped at Notre Dame Cathedral and had time to go inside this famous cathedral with its Gothic spires and beautiful facade. After lunch, we walked back to City Hall where the coach picked us up and took us on a tour of the Left Bank. We arrived back at the ship at 4:15pm.
