After getting back on the ship, we headed back to our staterooms to wash hands. I needed to grab another camera memory card because I knew my first memory card was nearly full.
Lunch at the Lido Marketplace:
The Fun-Times daily activity newsletter as well as the Carnival Hub app listed the day's lunch options. The lunch options for today's port of call day were a little different and some places did not open for lunch.
I checked to see if Guy's Burger Joint opened earlier like on Grand Cayman day. Unfortunately, it was not yet open. I ended up having tacos from the Blue Iguana Cantina and a grilled cheese sandwich from the deli. The tacos were just as good as always. The grilled cheese sandwich was good, but it was too cheesy.

- Seafood Shack - The Seafood Shack is located at the back of the Lido Marketplace by the Tides aft pool. This venue costs extra and was open from 11:00am to 5:00pm for lunch. Dinner was also served at this venue from 5:00pm until 9:00pm.
- Blue Iguana Cantina 12:00pm - 3:30pm
- Mongolian Wok - This was located in JiJi Asian Kitchen on Deck 11 (right above the Lido Marketplace buffet). The open time was from 12:00pm until 2:30pm.
- Pasta Bar - This was located in Cucina Del Capitano on Deck 11 (right above the Lido Marketplace buffet). The open time was from 12:00pm until 2:30pm.
- Guy's Burger Joint - 1:00pm - 6:00pm

Afternoon Walk Around The Outside Decks:
After lunch I wanted to head outside to see the view of Cozumel from the Carnival Vista. From the back of the Lido Deck, I had a great view of the Carnival Conquest, Carnival Freedom, and Carnival Paradise. The outside decks had a few people out, but it was mostly empty. Most people were still ashore in Cozumel. Here are some pictures from my walk around the outside decks:

During my time I walked around I went up to Deck 12. The SportsSquare area of Deck 12 was entirely empty. However, attractions such as the SkyRide and ropes course were closed. The SkyRide and ropes course both opened at 2:00pm. I planned on arriving to the SkyRide a few minutes before it was scheduled to open in order to not have to wait in line a long time. Here are some pictures taken around the SportsSquare area of Deck 12:
While walking around SportsSquare I went inside the area called "The Clubhouse". This would have been the perfect time to play ping-pong or billards because nobody else was using the facility. There is a small stairwell that can be found right by the billards table that leads to the mid-ship elevator/stairwell area on Deck 11. This stairwell makes getting to the middle of the ship easier, despite there not being elevator service to Deck 12 at the middle of the ship. The only elevator service to Deck 12 is at the front of the deck. Here are some pictures of "The Clubhouse":
Quick Walk Around The Ship's Interior:
After walking around outside I walked through Deck 5. I started at the ship's atrium and worked my way towards the back of Deck 5. In the atrium area of Deck 5, cruisers can find several of the ship's shops. One side of the ship has doors labeled "Rum Cay" and "Funnel Gear". These two doors lead to the Carnival Cruise & Carnival Vista themed merchandise. The other shops on Deck 5 sell jewelry, perfumes, and other things. The Deck 4 area of the atrium has shops too.

The Promenade Deck (5) was very empty too. There were a few people sitting at the Ocean Plaza, but otherwise the ship felt practically empty. I did not stay on Deck 5 long because I wanted to make sure I was first in line for the SkyRide's 2:00pm open time.
My Ride On The SkyRide & The Ride Getting Shut Down For The Cruise...
I arrived to the SkyRide's entrance area on Deck 14 around 1:50pm. The ride was not scheduled to open until 2:00pm so I did not mind arriving early because I was going to be first. The SkyRide's crew members were in the process of getting setup and took each car around the ship for testing. When the crew members returned they let us get situated in the SkyRide bicycle. I chose to ride on the track that started on the interior. The tracks end up switching about mid-way through so my bike would be on the ship's exterior for the second half of the ride. After getting strapped in we were told we could begin our ride! Once again, I enjoyed the ride. When I was done I got back in line because very few people had shown up and the wait was not too bad. Two more groups of riders went after me and then the next riders were strapped in. However, one of the crew members working the rides all of a sudden told the people strapped in to be next that they needed to get off the bikes and wait back in line while they investigate something. The other crew member working the ride was on the phone with someone. Unfortunately, none of the details of this phone call got passed onto us. After a few minutes, the SkyRide crew members told us they were having to close the ride due to it needing inspecting by the staff captain. As we walked away, the staff captain had come up and was getting up on the ropes course to look at a part of the track. Later in the afternoon, we tried to see if the ride was open and saw the large green lift working on the interior track. I do not know what the specific reason for the closure was, but it appeared a piece of the track needed some type of work. The ropes course was closed for the remainder of the day. Unfortunately, the Skyride was closed for the rest of the day and did not open on our last sea day. I was one of the last guests to get to ride the SkyRide for the cruise.
Below you will see some pictures of the SkyRide's loading station. Cameras were not allowed on the ride so these are the only close-up pictures I was able to take of the SkyRide bikes.

Watching The Carnival Freedom & Carnival Conquest Depart Cozumel:
In the late afternoon, around 4:00pm, I decided to step outside to see if the Carnival Conquest and Carnival Freedom had started departing yet. The Carnival Freedom left first and after pulling away from Puerta Maya turned around. We would see the Carnival Freedom on Saturday once we got back to Galveston. The Carnival Conquest left shortly after the Carnival Freedom turned around.

The Carnival Paradise was still docked at the International Pier and I was able to get a good view of the ship once the Carnival Conquest & Freedom were gone. I was also able to see the pier from the ship now and it appeared a few people were still coming back to the Carnival Vista. The designated time to be back onboard was 4:30pm, which was 30 minutes prior to the ship's departure.
Dinner In The Horizons Dining Room:
Tonight was our second to last dinner on the Carnival Vista. We had the same table and waitstaff again on this night of the cruise. The food and service were very good!

The menus for the night were American Table and the port of call section was Cozumel themed. For my appetizers I had the vegetable spring rolls and romaine caesar salad. For my main course, I had the steak tacos from the Cozumel themed section of the menu. All of the food was good. For dessert, I had cheesecake. Here are the dining room menus from this night's dinner.

After dinner, we planned on going to the Playlist Productions show "America Rocks". However, the first seating's line was wrapped around the front elevator area and into the ship's atrium. We postponed our visit to see the show and decided to go walk around on Deck 12. First, we went by the stateroom to change. While at the stateroom I stepped outside onto my cove balcony to see the sunset. Here are some pictures of the sunset from my cove balcony:
From Deck 12 I was able to see the sunset as well. Our captain had made an announcement after we departed Cozumel that we would be entering the Gulf of Mexico at approximately 7:30pm. While walking around Deck 12 we were able to see Cancun in the distance.
Before heading to Deck 4 to line up for the show, I wanted to take a quick look from the front of Deck 5. The sun was almost entirely set, but there was still enough light outside to easily see.
Playlist Productions Show: "America Rocks"
Tonight was our fourth and final production show in the Liquid Lounge. The show consisted of 80's rock music and was enjoyable. Before the show glow sticks were being randomly handed out to audience members. The show times for the evening were 7:30pm and 9:30pm. The doors opened at 7:00pm for the first show and 9:00pm for the second show. The seats filled up quickly in the second showing, just like the first showing. This seemed to be the most popular show of the cruise. The Carnival Vista's Playlist Productions dancers did a great job this cruise!
