The Carnival Sunrise is a transformed ship with many of Carnival's exciting Fun Ship 2.0 features and spaces. Formerly known as the Carnival Triumph, the ship underwent a nearly two month transformation to become the Carnival Sunrise. Originally, the Carnival Triumph was built in 1999 and the transformation to become Carnival Sunrise took place in 2019.
The Carnival Sunrise is an easy ship to navigate, especially once cruisers get to know the ship. This self guided tour is meant to be a tool to help you familiarize yourself with the ship’s layout. Many of the ship’s public areas are included in this tour. Please keep in mind, especially on the cruise’s first day, some lounges or places may be closed for various reasons including events such as wedding receptions and other private functions. If something is closed and you wanted to look in that area, consider trying again at another time. I recommend moving to the next part of the tour. The tour works best if followed in order.
This tour is not affiliated with any cruise line, ship, travel agency, or travel group. If you find any errors, problems, or areas without clarity please let me know. I want to make this tour as accurate & helpful as possible so please let me know of any problems! Also, please keep in mind the ship's areas are subject to change!
Some things in this tour may change as Carnival finalizes its plans for the Carnival Sunrise. Please stay tuned for changes. I will update this tour if I learn of any additional features or layout changes that alter the tour.

Starting Point:
To begin this self guided tour go to the Carnival Sunrise's atrium lobby, which is on the Lobby Deck (deck 3). The official name of the atrium is the Sunrise Atrium.
1. Sunrise Atrium Lobby– Lobby Deck 3 This tour begins in the Carnival Sunrise's "Sunrise Atrium Lobby" by the atrium bar. Look up and you will see the many levels of the atrium as well as the glass dome located near the top. The Carnival Sunrise's atrium has four glass elevators. In the center of the atrium is the atrium bar. Two important areas that you can see here are the Guest Services desk and the Shore Excursions desk.
If you look towards the glass elevators, you will see the atrium lobby bar by the elevators. Behind the the atrium elevators is the ship's forward elevator and stairwell area. The front area of Deck 3 is home to some staterooms that were added during the ship's recent dry-dock.
In the opposite direction, you will see the Deck 3 entrance to the Carnival Sunrise's Radiance Restaurant. The Carnival Sunrise has two main dining rooms and each one is two decks. The dining room and floor a cruiser is assigned to will be printed on his or Sail & Sign cards.
On both sides of the atrium you will see doors that lead to an outside deck. This area is directly under the lifeboats and it is a great place to look outside.

Change Deck: Once you have spotted all of these places it is time to change decks. This tour recommends using one of the glass elevators or the stairwell that is in the atrium. The front elevator area is also close nearby and you can use those too. Go up one deck level to Deck 4.
2. Atlantic Deck - Deck 4
Touring This Deck: Once you are on Deck 4, I recommend circling the atrium. As you circle the atrium you will be in the ship's photo gallery, known as Pixels.
As you walk around the atrium you will see the entrance to the Java Blue Cafe. The Java Blue Cafe serves a variety of coffee, hot drinks, specialty beverages, and desserts. These items do cost a little extra and can be purchased using your onboard Sail & Sign card.
In the atrium, near the Java Blue Cafe, you should see an area cut-out for the Radiance Restaurant's and Fahrenheit 555 Steakhouse's entrance. Walk in this direction. NOTE: If you happen to go the wrong way you will end up at the entrance to the main show lounge. If this happens to you just turn around and walk in the opposite direction.
When you come to the entrance to the Fahrenheit 555 steakhouse and Radiance Restaurant you will want to take a left into the Radiance Restaurant's entrance. However, if the Fahrenheit 555 steakhouse is open feel free to take a quick look inside.
After entering the second level of the Radiance Restaurant, you will want to head towards the back. As you head towards the back you should see a set of doors that lead to the mid-ship elevator/stairwell area. Be careful not to accidentally end up in the galley because it's a crew only area!

After you exit the Radiance Restaurant you will be in the mid-ship elevator/stairwell area. You will want to continue walking towards the back of the ship and should see a small hallway on your left. Follow this hallway and you should find yourself at one of the entrance's to the Carnival Sunrise's Limelight Lounge. The Limelight Lounge is used for a variety of events and also serves as the ship's nightclub.
You will want to keep walking through the Limelight Lounge towards the back of the ship. When you exit the Limelight Lounge you should see the aft elevator/stairwell area. Also, you will see the entrance to the Carnival Sunrise's aft dining room. This dining room is the Sunshine Restaurant and is located on Deck 3 and Deck 4.

Change Deck: When you are done looking around this area go to the nearest elevator or stairwell. You are at the back elevator and stairwell area. Take the elevator or walk the stairs up one deck. This will take you to the Promenade Deck, which is Deck 5.
3. Promenade Deck - Deck 5
Touring This Deck: Once you take the elevator or stairs up one deck, you will be on Deck 5. Towards the back of Deck 5 you should see a way to access staterooms. These staterooms were added when the ship became the Carnival Sunrise. This tour does not include a stop at one of these new staterooms so you will want to head the opposite way on the Promenade Deck. You will be heading towards the front of the ship as you walk along the Promenade Deck.
Immediately after leaving the stairwell/elevator area you should see the Alchemy Bar on your right and the Piano Bar 88 on your left. Cruisers that visit the Alchemy Bar can have a custom cocktail or beverage mixed for them. The Piano Bar 88 is a place where cruisers can enjoy live entertainment that features a piano bar entertainer. Hours can be found in your daily activity newsletter, the Fun-Times.
As you keep walking step inside Piano Bar 88. From the entrance to Piano Bar 88 you should see another entrance to another lounge, which is the Red Frog Pub. The Red Frog Pub is a separate venue from the Red Frog Rum Bar, which is on the Lido Deck.
If you stepped inside Piano Bar 88 or the Red Frog Pub go ahead and step back into the Promenade Deck walkway. It's time to continue touring the ship! Walk towards the front of the ship.
You will pass through Bonsai Sushi. Bonsai Sushi serves a variety of sushi dishes for an extra fee.
After passing by Bonsai Sushi's counter and tables you should start to approach the Sunrise Casino. To your left you should see the Sunrise Casino Bar. The promenade walkway will begin curving to the left as you continue walking towards the front of the ship. As you follow the walkway you will be entering the Sunrise Casino. The casino has a minimum age (usually 18) in order to play at the machines and tables.
Once you are out of the Sunrise Casino you should be in the ship's atrium on the Deck 5 level. The Carnival Sunrise's Deck 5 level of the atrium has several different lounges and places to shop.
After exiting the casino on your right you should see:
a) Cherry on Top - Cherry On Top sells candies, sweets, and specialty gifts.
b) Warehouse Arcade - The entrance is located right by Cherry on Top's entrance. The arcade has a variety of game machines that are pay-per-game.
Immediately after exiting the casino on your left you should see the entrance to the Skybox Sports Bar. Farther to the front on both sides you should see some of the Carnival Sunrise's shops.
You will want to head towards the front of the ship. Pick a side of the atrium and start walking towards the atrium elevators (this will indicate you are walking towards the front of the ship).

When you have reached the area by the glass elevators or front elevators/stairwell it is time to change decks!
Change Deck: When you are done looking around this area go to the nearest elevator or stairwell. Since you are in the atrium, you can take a glass elevator or take the nearby front elevators. You may also use the front stairwells if you wish. Go from Deck 5 to Deck 9, which is the Lido Deck.
This tour does not include Deck 6, Deck 7, or Deck 8 because these decks consist of staterooms.

4. Lido Deck - Deck 9
Touring This Deck: After you get off your glass elevator, front elevator, or the stairs, walk into the atrium area of the Lido Deck and start walking towards the back of the ship. If you walk into a stateroom hallway you are deviating from this tour! After walking through the atrium you will come to a sliding glass door that leads to the main Lido pool area.
As you step outside into the main pool area, the first thing you should see is the main pool. If you look up you will see the Carnival Sunrise's SeaSide Theater and funnel above. The SeaSide Theater is used for showing TV shows, movies, and broadcasting poolside activities. As you continue to walk forward you will see the main pool. On the left side of the main pool (assuming you are facing the SeaSide Theater) you will see the Blue Iguana Tequila Bar and on the right you will see the Red Frog Rum Bar. Both of these bars serve a variety of different drinks.

For the purposes of this tour walk on the right side of the main pool. You will pass by the ship's towel station and Blue Iguana Tequila Bar. Continue heading towards the back of the ship.
As you get closer to the other side of the deck, you will begin to see the buffet. On this side of the ship you will see the Blue Iguana Cantina. The Blue Iguana Cantina serves tacos and burritos at lunch, but at breakfast serves breakfast burritos. Outside of the Blue Iguana Cantina you will see a salsa bar that has a variety of salsa flavors a cruiser can add to his or her taco food.
Tour Note: We are not going to walk on the other side of the buffet, but on the direct opposite side of the Blue Iguana Cantina is Guy's Burger Joint. Guy's Burger Joint serves a variety of different hamburgers. At Guy's Burger Joint you will also be able to get fries and enjoy toppings from the Toppings Bar.
Continue walking past the Blue Iguana Cantina and walk into the inside part of the buffet.
Once you are inside you will be in the Carnival Sunrise's main Lido buffet, which is called the Lido Marketplace. Continue walking towards the back of the ship. As you walk towards the back you will pass by the ship's deli, buffet lines, and at least one drink station.
Continue walking towards the back and when you get to a single sliding glass door, walk outside. As you keep walking you will see more tables. Walk until you see the Pizzeria Del Capitano on your left and a bar directly in front you. When you are in this area, you have reached the aft pool. This area has more pool, hot-tub, and deck chair space. For this tour, turn left by the pizzeria and walk to the opposite side of the ship. You will see a counter called the "Seafood Shack". This venue costs extra, but serves lobster rolls and other seafood items for a small fee. After you see this area turn-around and walk in the sliding glass doors that are in the middle of the area. You will find yourself in the back (aft) elevator/stairwell area.

Change Deck: If you are inside the aft elevator/stairwell area, you will need to go up. However, these elevators that are you are standing by do not go up any further (you can only go down). The stairwell will allow you to walk up one deck. However, Carnival installed an ADA elevator inside the middle part of the Lido Marketplace for guests to use to go up one deck. If you step inside the Lido Marketplace buffet and head towards the main buffet lines you should be able to spot the ADA elevator that was installed during the ship's Carnival Sunrise transformation.
If you can take the stairs use the AFT stairwell to go up or use the ADA elevator if you cannot use the stairs. I recommend asking a crew member for assistance if you cannot find the ADA lift.

5. Panorama Deck - Deck 10
Touring This Deck: Once you are up one one deck, you should be seeing Cucina Del Capitano. This feature is located above the Carnival Sunrise's Lido Marketplace buffet. At lunch, Cucina Del Capitano serves pasta to guests free. At dinner, Cucina Del Capitano is a sit down eatery that serves a variety of Italian dishes for an extra fee.
Find the nearest door to go outside! There should be a door on both sides of the ship to exit from inside Cucina Del Capitano. For now, walk towards the front of the ship on Deck 10.
Depending on which side of the ship you are on you might pass by Guy's Pig & Anchor BBQ. This eatery is complimentary and serves a variety of BBQ dishes when open. If you are on the opposite side of the ship you will not pass by Guy's Pig & Anchor BBQ, but make a note that this eatery is on the opposite side of the ship.
OPTIONAL PORTION: As you approach the middle of the ship you should be able to see the pool below. You should see a stairwell and ADA elevator lift to go up one deck. This tour does not officially include going up. However, by going up to Deck 11 you would have the opportunity to see the jogging track, SportsSquare, and ropes course. The mini golf course can also be accessed from this area, but is located on Deck 12. If you want to, go up and check out these areas.
RESUME THE WALKING TOUR ON DECK 10: Continue walking towards the front of the ship. You will pass by the main Lido Deck pool and deck areas below. Look for two doors (near the ship's waterslide landing) that will take you inside. When you walk inside you will see a stateroom hallway on one side, but on the other is front elevators / stairwell area.

8. SPA Deck - Deck 11 (Front Part)
Touring This Deck: Once you get up to Deck 11 you will be on the front part of the deck. This tour does not officially include a stop in the SPA or gym, but you should see the entrance to these areas from the front stairwell/elevator area. SPA staterooms are located on this deck. The gym is located at the very front of this deck. If you want to take a SPA tour I recommend asking one of the SPA crew members for more information. Typically, SPA tours are given on the first day.
Since this tour does not actually include the SPA or Gym, continue from the elevator/stairwell area up one deck.

9. Sun Deck - Deck 12
Touring This Deck: Once you are on Deck 12 you will see a very short hallway that leads to the entrances for Club 02 and Circle C. Club 02 is Carnival's youth program for 15-17 year olds and Circle C is Carnival's youth program for 12-14 year olds. The entrances to these two lounges are right next to each other.
Right by the Deck 12 elevators you should see the entrance to Camp Ocean. Camp Ocean is Carnival's youth program for younger children that are ages 2-11. There are three Camp Ocean Groups (penguins, stringrays, and sharks) that children are assigned based on their age. The particular age groups meet in different places and have different activity schedules that are published at the start of the cruise.
On of the side of the ship that is opposite Camp Ocean is an exterior door that leads to the first level of the Serenity Adults Only Retreat. The Serenity Adults Only Retreat is for guests 21 years and older. The Serenity Adults Only Retreat is also located on Deck 14.
Optional: The second level of the Serenity Adults Only Retreat is located on Deck 14. The Carnival Sunrise does not have a Deck 13, which means the deck numbering goes from 12 to 14 automatically. There are two elevators that lead to Deck 14 from Deck 12. If you are over 21, go check out the Serenity Adults Only Retreat.
