The Carnival Miracle is one of Carnival’s four Spirit Class cruise ships. Built in 2004, the Carnival Miracle has a gross tonnage of 88,500 and double occupancy passenger capacity of 2,124.
The Carnival Miracle is an easy ship to navigate, especially once cruisers get to know the ship. This self guided tour is meant to be a tool to help you familiarize yourself with the ship’s layout. Many of the ship’s public areas are included in this tour. Please keep in mind, especially on the cruise’s first day, some lounges or places may be closed for various reasons including events such as wedding receptions and other private functions. If something is closed and you wanted to look in that area, consider trying again at another time. I recommend moving to the next part of the tour. The tour works best if followed in order. This tour is not affiliated with any cruise line, ship, travel agency, or travel group. If you find any errors, problems, or areas without clarity please let me know. I want to make this tour as accurate & helpful as possible so please let me know of any problems! Also, please keep in mind public areas are subject to change! |
Starting Point:
To begin this self guided tour go to the Carnival Miracle's atrium lobby, which is on the Promenade Deck (deck 2). The official name of the atrium is the Metropolis Atrium. The atrium lobby is around the middle of the ship on Deck 2. 1. Metropolis Atrium Lobby – Promenade Deck (2) This tour begins in the Carnival Miracle's Metropolis Atrium Lobby by the atrium bar. Look up and you will see the many levels of the atrium as well as the glass dome located near the top. The Carnival Miracle's atrium has three glass elevators. In the center of the atrium is the atrium bar. On one side of the atrium lobby you will see the guest services and shore excursions desk. Guest Services - The guest services desk is usually open 24 hours a day. Shore Excursions Desk - The hours for the shore excursions desk are generally published in the daily Fun-Times newsletter or on the Carnival Hub app. On the side of the atrium opposite of the guest services and shore excursions desk you will see a walk-way. To begin this tour you will want to head towards the back of the ship on this deck. Walk in the direction opposite of the atrium's glass elevators. (Hint: If you come to the casino right away you are walking the wrong way for this tour) |
Shortly after leaving the ship's atrium, you should be walking into the Alchemy Bar. You should see the Alchemy Bar's counter as well as an area with several places to sit. The Alchemy Bar is a pharmacy themed bar where guests can have the bartender create a variety of different cocktail and drink combinations.
Keep walking through the Alchemy Bar. As you continue to heads towards the back of the ship you will pass by the entrance to Dr. Frankenstein's Lab Dance Club. This is the Carnival Miracle's nightclub/disco. Guests can enter the nightclub on Deck 2, but the nightclub is actually on both Deck 1 and Deck 2. After passing the entrance to the ship's nightclub, you should see the aft elevator/stairwell area. If you keep walking you will come to the Deck 2 entrance of the Bacchus Dining Room. The Bacchus Dining Room is the Carnival Miracle's dining room and is two decks high. Your assigned deck number to enter the dining room will be on your Sail & Sign card and depends on whether you have early seating, late seating, or Your-Time Dining. If the dining room is open feel free to take a look inside, but when you are ready it is time to head to the other side of Deck 2. Turn around and you will begin walking towards the atrium (where you just came from). You will pass by the aft elevators, Alchemy Bar, and go through the atrium again. Keep walking on the side of the ship you are on! After you pass through the atrium again, you will be entering the ship's casino. The Carnival Miracle's casino is called Mr. Lucky's Casino. The main walkway on Deck 2 requires cruisers to cut through the casino when going from one side of Deck 2 to the other. However, the minimum age to play at the casino slots and machines is 18 years old. Keep walking through the ship's casino. After exiting the ship's casino you should see a ladies and men's restroom. You will want to keep walking towards the front of the ship. |
On your left you should soon see an entrance to the Skybox Sports Bar. Right next to the Skybox Sports Bar is the Red Frog Pub. Both of these venues are Fun Ship 2.0 features that were added to the Carnival Miracle in a recent dry-dock. If you want to take a look inside these venues go ahead, but when you are ready you will want to keep walking towards the front of the ship.
Outside the entrance to the Skybox Sports Bar and Red Frog Rum Bar, you should see a fountain. The fountain is a decoration that is a part of the Carnival Miracle's Fountainhead Cafe. The Fountainhead Cafe sells drinks such as coffee and shakes, but also sells specialty sweets. As you walk by you can take a look at the full menu and sweets available for sell in the cafe's display. After you pass by the Fountainhead Cafe's counter, you should shortly come to the entrance to the Carnival Miracle's card room. This should be on your right. The Carnival Miracle's card room is called The Joker Card Room. This is a great place to play cards or other games with your friends, family, or fellow cruisers. Keep waking towards the ship's front! You will pass by the ship's front elevator and stairwell area (should be on your left). As you get to the front of this deck you will see the entrance to the Phantom Lounge. The Phantom Lounge is the Carnival Miracle's main show lounge. Large events, Playlist Productions shows, and many entertainment events occur in this lounge. Check your daily Fun-Times or the Carnival Hub app for the daily events that are taking place in this lounge. Feel free to take a look inside the lounge if it is open. The Phantom Lounge is on Decks 2, 3, and 4. When you are done in the Phantom Lounge walk outside and almost immediately you should see the front elevator/stairwell area. You will want to head down to Deck One. |
Change Deck: It is time to head down to Deck One. Use the front elevator/stairwell area that is located right outside the Phantom Lounge.
2. Riviera Deck - Deck 1
Touring This Deck: Once you are on Deck 1, you should find yourself around the front elevator/stairwell area. Most of Deck 1 is staterooms, but there is a public lounge on Deck 1 that is used for a variety of events. From the elevator/stairwell area you will want to step to the side of this area and you should see the doors to the Mad Hatter's Ball lounge. You do not need to go through any stateroom hallways to see this lounge. If you find yourself in the stateroom hallways you may be in the wrong area. Walk towards the Mad Hatter's Ball Lounge. Step inside if it is open. This lounge is used for a variety of events such as comedy, karaoke, and more. When you are done looking in the Mad Hatter's Ball Lounge, step back out and walk back to the front elevator/stairwell area. Once again, you do not need to cut through any stateroom hallways. |
Change Deck: You will want to head up from Deck 1 to Deck 3 using the front elevator/stairwell area.
3. Atlantic Deck - Deck 3
Touring This Deck: Once you are on Deck 3, it is time to head towards the back of the ship. If you look towards the front you will see the Phantom Lounge 's Deck 3 entrance. You will want to walk the opposite way of these places.
Touring This Deck: Once you are on Deck 3, it is time to head towards the back of the ship. If you look towards the front you will see the Phantom Lounge 's Deck 3 entrance. You will want to walk the opposite way of these places.
Start walking towards the back of the ship. You are on the Carnival Miracle's Upper Promenade walkway. One of the first things you should see as you begin your journey towards the back of the ship is the top of the Fountain Head Cafe that was on Deck 2. Behind this area you will see these places:
A) Raven Library - This is the Carnival Miracle's library. The library typically consists of books and games. B) The Chapel - This is an area with some pews and a mini-stage. The chapel is most likely used for smaller weddings, but is also a good place to pray when the lounge is not being used for any official events. C) Sam's Piano Bar - This is the Carnival Miracle's piano bar. After you pass by these three venues you should see Cherry on Top on your right. Cherry on Top sells a variety of candies and sweets. Once you have passed Cherry On Top, you should see shops on both sides. You are walking down an area called the Yellow Brick Road. Keep walking towards the back and stay on the side of the ship you are on! You will shortly be entering the ship's photo gallery, known as Pixels. As you pass through the photo gallery, you should be able to look below at the ship's atrium. Don't forget to come back to the photo gallery at a later time to look for any photos you had done by the ship's photography staff. After you have exited the photo gallery and atrium area of Deck 3, you should find yourself in the Gotham Lounge. The Gotham Lounge is used to host activities and events. This area has a bar-counter and many places to sit. Although this is a lounge, Deck 3's walkway goes straight through the Gotham Lounge. When you are in the Gotham Lounge and are walking towards the back, you will see the entrance to the Carnival Miracle's conference room on your left. After exiting the Gotham Lounge, you will see the aft elevators/stairwell. For the purposes of this tour, go ahead and use the elevators or stairwells to go up to the Lido Deck (9). The upper level of the Bacchus Dining Room is at the back of Deck 3, but for this tour I am going to skip the upper level of the dining room |
Change Deck: You will want to head up from Deck 3 to Deck 9 using the aft elevator/stairwell area.
4. Lido Deck - Deck 9
Touring This Deck: Once you are up to the Lido Deck's aft elevator/stairwell area, you should see an entrance to the Carnival Miracle's buffet. The buffet is known as Horatio's. Go ahead and enter the buffet. The food and lines you see will depend on the meal currently being served.
As you initially step into the buffet, on your right is the ship's pizzeria. The pizzeria is open 24 hours a day. On your left is the ship's salad bar. This is generally used at the salad bar at lunch and sometimes at night for dinner.
If you keep walking straight you will dead-end into some of the ship's main Lido buffet lines. Walk along the side of one of the buffet line's and keep heading towards the ship's front. It does not matter which side you choose because eventually you will end up in the same place.
As you continue to walk towards the front of the ship, you will pass by many tables and chairs in the buffet. Eventually you will come the ship's atrium. Keep walking!
If you walked in the correct direction, regardless of the side you chose to walk-on, you will come to a door that leads to the outside. Go ahead and go outside into the area known as the Ulysses Main Pool. On the wall that separates the buffet from the pool area there are two buffet lines outside. At lunch, these lines typically serve hamburgers and other food items.
The Ulysses Main Pool has the ability to be covered by a retractable roof. Depending on your itinerary on the Carnival Miracle and the weather, the retractable roof many be opened or closed.
As you keep walking towards the front you will see a bar counter. On both sides of the bar counter you should see a break in the wall that allows you to keep walking towards the front. After you have crossed this barrier you will be in the Sirens Forward Pool area. The Sirens pool is not able to be covered by the retractable roof. At the front-most area of the outside Lido you should see doors that lead to the ship's interior. Go inside these doors and you should immediately be in the Carnival Miracle's front stairwell/elevator area.
The Carnival Miracle's SPA facilities are located on Deck 9 and Deck 10. From the front elevator/stairwell area you should be able to see the official entrance to the SPA. This tour does not include the SPA, but most SPA staff give tours on the first day of the cruise and would likely be willing to give a mini-tour later in the cruise. Feel free to take a look inside, but come back to the front elevator/stairwell area when you are ready to continue.
