Last Morning Walk:
Today was the very last day of the cruise and I wanted to squeeze one more morning walk around the ship in before having to get off. The night prior to debarkation I packed most stuff in my suitcase to avoid having to spend time packing on the last morning. I set my alarm to go off at 4:30am and by 5:00am I was out walking around the Carnival Dream. I had a few last minute things to pack before starting my morning walk so I took care of those little things right before leaving for my morning walk. My suitcase was packed and zipped, which meant I could enjoy the rest of the cruise without having to worry about packing!
My morning walk today did not follow any particular pattern. I started on Deck 3 and went all around the ship's interior spaces. Several crew members were in the public areas cleaning the ship and getting ready for the next guests to board.

One area of the Carnival Dream I stumbled upon was the Rendevous Club Lounge. This little room has some seats and a very small bar counter. I had forgotten about this small lounge until running into it on the last day. This lounge is located on Deck 4 and the entrance can be found near the atrium entrance to the Crimson Dining Room's deck 4 level. I do not think this lounge gets utilized often.
The Scarlet Dining Room was getting setup for the last morning's breakfast. While I was on Deck 4 I stepped inside to look at the Scarlet Dining Room and a few waitstaff members were still setting up for breakfast.
After walking around the interior areas of the Carnival Dream, I went up to the Lido Deck. I wanted to walk around the Carnival Dream's outside decks before going to breakfast. The outside decks were almost all wet and I had to be careful to not slip. Those that have read my past reviews may remember I slipped on a stairwell once and fell down a half flight of stairs. Ever since that cruise I use extreme caution on wet decking!
It is hard for me to take good pictures of the ship's exterior at night. I usually have to adjust my camera's settings to get a picture that is not blurry at night. Although the image quality may not be as good on these images below are some pictures I took around the ship's outside decks on this last morning:
Last Breakfast On The Carnival Dream:
Today was our last breakfast on the Carnival Dream. The Lido Buffet's continental breakfast and main buffet lines were open from 6:00am until 9:30am. By the Lido pool, the Blue Iguana Cantina was open from 6:00am until 9:00am. For cruisers that did not want to eat in the ship's buffet, the Scarlet Aft Dining Room was open from 6:30am until 8:30am for open seating.

While we were eating breakfast, the Carnival Dream approached Galveston and began the process of docking. Due to not being able to see outside in the buffet, I did not realize we were close to docking until I went to the very front of the ship on Deck 9. I was very surprised to walk out and see Cruise Terminal #1. The Carnival Dream did not turn around before docking which meant the front of the ship faced Cruise Terminal #2. The Enchantment of the Seas was in the distance still coming into Galveston, but would be docked in less than an hour.
After the ship was docked I headed back to my stateroom to get my suitcase and do a final check of the stateroom in order to ensure nothing was left behind. Once I had everything, it was time to head to the designated waiting area for Platinum guests. Instructions were sent to our room the before debarkation and my designated waiting area was the Crimson Dining Room on Deck 3. One side of the Crimson Dining Room was for Platinum Guests and the other was for Faster to the Fun. Diamond guests were sent to the Crimson Dining Room's annex, which is a small room near the dining room.
Disembarking The Carnival Dream:
Around 7:40am, the ship was cleared for debarkation. VIFP Diamond guests were allowed to go first and had a separate waiting area from the Platinum guests. Next, VIFP Platinum guests would be allowed to debark. Following these guests was Faster to the Fun. After these guests, self assist disembarkation by deck began. For a cruiser to get off as self assist, he or she must carry off all luggage and bags. All self assist guests would be allowed off before the general disembarkation guests. The general disembarkation (checked luggage) guests would be ones that put luggage outside their door. These people would be allowed to disembark after the self assist guests because the pier workers needed time to unload all of the luggage.
Once the Diamond guests were allowed off, an announcement was made in the Crimson Dining Room for Platinum guests to line up and get ready to go to the gangway. A line formed and within minutes we walked across the Carnival Dream's atrium to the gangway. Security was at the gangway scanning Sail & Sign cards. After getting our Sail & Sign Cards scanned we exited the ship and went down the gangway. The line for customs was extremely short and within minutes I was out of the cruise terminal.

Overall, I enjoyed this cruise on the Carnival Dream and wish I was still on the ship. The crew members did a great job and worked hard. Our food throughout the cruise was good.
