Excel Class Ship Pool (Carnival Jubilee) The Carnival Tropicale will sail from Galveston when the ship debuts in 2028. As Carnival Cruise Line's fifth Excel class ships, the Carnival Tropicale will be joining the Carnival Jubilee out of Galveston.
There are still several details that are to be announced regarding the Carnival Tropicale's sailings and itineraries from Galveston. This post will share the information currently known as of 4/25/2026:
1. Carnival Tropicale and Carnival Jubilee will both be sailing from Galveston
Carnival confirmed the Carnival Tropicale and Carnival Jubilee will both be sailing from Galveston. This means that Carnival Tropicale is not replacing Carnival Jubilee. However, it is possible that the Carnival Jubilee will switch itineraries similar to how Carnival changed the Mardi Gras' itineraries when the Carnival Festivale was announced for Port Canaveral.
2. Carnival Tropicale Receiving Texas Star
Similar to the Carnival Jubilee, the Carnival Tropicale's bow will have the star of Texas.
