Tampa offers many parking lots for cruise ship passengers that are close to the cruise terminal. Parking lots vary in terms of what is offered. However, the specifics of what each parking lot has to offer can vary. Port Tampa Bay's Parking Garage: Port Tampa Bay has a parking garage located at 810 Channelside Drive across from Cruise Terminal 3 and Cruise Terminal 2.

Non-Port Affiliated Parking Lots: Through my pre-cruise research for Tampa I found many offsite parking lots available near the Port Tampa Bay cruise terminal area. I encourage you to search for parking lots through your favorite search engine. Make sure to read reviews, understand any cancellation policies, and read up on the amenities (i.e. gated, security presence, etc.) regarding any lots before booking.
Hotel Parking & Shuttle to Terminal: Some local hotels may offer parking on their site and a shuttle to the cruise terminal. Specifics and programs available can vary by hotel, if the hotel offers this type of program. If you are staying at a hotel pre-cruise and have a vehicle looking into if this option exists at your specific hotel might be a good idea.

Carnival Paradise Tampa Luggage Drop-Off:
Tampa's Cruise Terminal 3 has porters outside the cruise terminal accepting luggage. Carnival does not allow checking in bags after a certain timeframe prior to embarkation so make sure you pay attention to your emails and communications from Carnival regarding when checked luggage ends. If you are arriving earlier than check-in, porters may be assisting debarking guests and not yet accepting luggage for the embarking cruise. Some things to keep in mind when checking your luggage:

If you are arriving earlier than check-in, porters may be assisting debarking guests and not yet accepting luggage for the embarking cruise. Some things to keep in mind when checking your luggage:
- Make sure you print your luggage tags from Carnival's booking manager. I recommend attaching two luggage tags to two separate handles on your suitcase.
- The porter should remind you to make sure you have all of the documents you need for the check-in process, but if they do not make sure you have your boarding pass, photo identification, and any other documents needed/required to board the cruise ship. You should also keep any items with you that you will need on embarkation afternoon before your luggage arrives to your stateroom.
- Be carful and make sure you drop your luggage off at the correct cruise terminal that is for your ship. You will want to drop your bags off at the cruise terminal that your ship is departing from, unless Carnival says something otherwise.
Carnival Paradise Tampa Check-In Time At The Cruise Terminal:
Guests will need to follow their arrival appointment as to when to arrive at the cruise terminal. Tampa's Cruise Terminal 3 has signage and lines for guests that arrive early for their arrival appointment and for those that arrive on-time. You may be able to enter the cruise terminal early if you arrive before your arrival appointment, but this is not guaranteed. Also, make sure you allow yourself plenty of time to get to the cruise terminal as after Carnival's published final boarding time the cruise terminal will be closed and you will have missed your cruise.
On my Carnival Paradise cruise from Tampa, guests had to show their boarding pass and photo identification prior to entering the cruise terminal. Upon entering the building everyone went through a security checkpoint and a sniff by the drug dog. Following security, guests checked in with a Carnival Guest Logistics agent, had documentation checked, and a photo taken. Guests who are opening a cash account for onboard spending will need to turn in their cash at this point.
Sail & Sign cards (room keys and onboard spending card) are available at the staterooms when the rooms open (typically 1:30pm).
