Some things to keep in mind when checking your luggage:
- Make sure you print your luggage tags from Carnival's booking manager. I recommend attaching two luggage tags to two separate handles on your suitcase.
- The porter should remind you to make sure you have all of the documents you need for the check-in process, but if they do not make sure you have your boarding pass, photo identification, and any other documents needed/required to board the cruise ship. You should also keep any items with you that you will need on embarkation afternoon before your luggage arrives to your stateroom.
- Out of Galveston, the porters are typically wearing a clear uniform and have identification badges. Make sure you give your luggage to someone official.
- Be carful and make sure you drop your luggage off at the correct cruise terminal that is for your ship. Carnival ships usually dock next to each other and sometimes people get confused on which cruise terminal to drop off luggage. You will want to drop your bags off at the cruise terminal that your ship is departing from, unless Carnival says something otherwise.
Carnival Miracle Galveston Check-In Time At The Cruise Terminal:
Guests will need to follow their arrival appointment as to when to arrive at the cruise terminal. Both cruise terminals (25 and 28) have signage and lines for guests that arrive early for their arrival appointment and for those that arrive on-time. You may be able to enter the cruise terminal early if you arrive before your arrival appointment, but this is not guaranteed. Also, make sure you allow yourself plenty of time to get to the cruise terminal as after Carnival's published final boarding time the cruise terminal will be closed and you will have missed your cruise.
Check-in for the Carnival Miracle out of Galveston usually consists of a documentation/identification and boarding pass check. Guests will also go through the security screening area. Sail & Sign cards are available in the stateroom mailbox once on the ship.
