After sleeping good, I was awake early and ready to walk around the Carnival Jubilee for a morning walk. Today I started my walk on Deck 8. The sun was starting to rise outside and I stepped outside to look, but my camera lenses fogged up so I did not get pictures.
One interesting thing about the Carnival Jubilee is some venues, like Cherry on Top and Piano Bar 88, felt a little small. Carnival's Cherry On Top on the Carnival Jubilee felt smaller than the venues on the Carnival Breeze and Carnival Dream. The Piano Bar 88 lounge was nice, but also felt a little small in terms of seating. Maybe this was no different than the Vista or Dream class ships in terms of seats, but I would have expected this to be bigger on the Excel class ships.
Carnival did a great job with seating and layout of the Carnival Jubilee's Lido Marketplace. The way the lines were setup facilitated quick movement of guests. There was plenty of seating although on sea days it would have been a bit harder for larger groups to sit together if they came during the peak dining times.
Since breakfast was not open yet at the time I walked through the Lido Marketplace, I continued my walk by heading up to Decks 17 and 18.
To get some more steps in before breakfast, I went back to down to Decks 7 and 8 on the stairs and walked through the Center Stage area. There is a bar on Deck 7 of Center Stage called Grand View Bar.
| Trying Breakfast At The Big Chicken I decided to stop by the Big Chicken when breakfast started at 8am. I had a chicken biscuit. The crew offered fries, but I was not hungry for fries so I only got the chicken biscuit. The biscuit was buttered, but not as flaky as I am used to from places like Chick-fil-a or Whataburger on land. However, it was still good. The chicken tasted as good as the sandwich I had at lunch on the first day. The chicken biscuit was a popular item at the Big Chicken for breakfast as the people ahead of me in line were all getting the same thing. The toppings/sauces were available for breakfast in the early morning. |
After breakfast we went on a walk around Deck 8. Throughout the cruise part of Deck 8 was unavailable due to some broken glass. Hopefully they get it fixed soon as it was not fixed during our cruise.
The Wave Live Morning Show:
Our cruise director, Kyndall Fire, hosted The Wave Morning Show again at 11am from Center Stage. We attended the show and got to hear from Kyndall and the Fun Squad about things happening on the ship and reminders for the next day's first port of call stop in Roatan. One useful thing we learned was as we sail closer to Roatan our phones may switch time zones so we were reminded that we needed to stay on ship's time even though we were on the ship all day.
Lunch in the Lido Marketplace:
Our third lunch onboard was in the Carnival Jubilee's Lido Marketplace on Deck 16. Today Carnival had several good things on the menu and I think every single dish I tried was good. The Beef Fajita meat was excellent! Carnival had several salsas and chips available for eating. There was a skillet potatoes with onions dish that I greatly enjoyed too.

After lunch we stopped by our room and found our stateroom steward came by for the daily servicing. He left us a towel animal again.
Dinner in the Pacific Restaurant:
The Pacific Restaurant opened for YourTime Dining at 5:30pm again this night of the cruise. We were seated at a different table compared to the first night. Our waiter was great and we got our food quickly. I had the Girod Street Salad, Caesar Salad, Roasted Sirloin of Beef, and Banana Creme Pie. All were very good!

Show - What's Age Got To Do With It
Tonight at 7:45pm in the Jubilee Theater was a show called "What's Age Got To Do With It". The show was hosted by our cruise director, Kyndall Fire, and included 4 (maybe 5) sets of contestants. Each set of contestants was 1 adult and 1 kid. They competed as a team to win the game. Carnival did a great job with this entertainment!
