7/20/2025

Carnival DreamCarnival Dream
Earlier this week Carnival Cruise Line announced the Carnival Dream will begin sailing from New Orleans in May 2027. Carnival is repositioning the Carnival Dream from Galveston to New Orleans to primarily sail 4 and 5 night cruises.

Ship Change
When the Carnival Dream begins sailing 4 and 5 night cruises from New Orleans, the Carnival Valor will be repositioning to a different homeport. Carnival has not yet announced where the Carnival Valor's new homeport will be. Carnival is keeping the Carnival Liberty from New Orleans to primarily sail 7 night cruises. The exact itineraries for the Carnival Liberty's cruises could include places such as Cozumel, Isla Tropicale (Roatan), Grand Cayman, or Belize depending on the exact itinerary for the sailing. Some special 8 night cruises on the Carnival Liberty were announced which depending on the departure may include a stop at Carnival's Celebration Key and Half Moon Cay.

Carnival Dream 2027-2028 Itineraries
The Carnival Dream's 4 night cruises from New Orleans are primarily scheduled to sail to Cozumel, Mexico. 5 night cruises include two port of call stops typically to Cozumel & Progreso. Carnival Dream will alternate being in New Orleans every other Thursday, Monday, and Saturday.

Carnival Dream's Galveston Replacement
The Carnival Dream has been cruising from Galveston since 2019 after the ship originally left New Orleans. Prior to the Covid-19 pandemic the Carnival Dream was sailing Galveston's 4 and 5 night cruises and then following the shutdown primarily sailed 6 and 8 night cruises. The exact replacement for the Carnival Dream from Galveston has not been officially announced.
