Carnival Cruise Line announced this past week priority luggage service will be returning for guests that are VIFP Diamond or Platinum, Suite guests, or guests that purchase Faster to the Fun.
In the pre-Covid shutdown days, guests who had priority luggage service would be able to check their bags in at the cruise terminal and the luggage would have a "Priority" indicator on the luggage tag. The cruise terminal and onboard teams would try to the extend possible to deliver the bag or suitcase with priority status as quickly as possible. Sometimes this would mean the luggage would be outside someone's stateroom before boarding began while other times it might have meant it would take a couple of hours before luggage delivery. The speed of priority greatly varied.
Carnival's policy for guests accessing staterooms early remains unchanged despite the announcement regarding the luggage. Guests with VIFP Platinum & Diamond, suites, or Faster to the Fun can drop any carry on bags by their room, but must leave until the general time for staterooms to open.
