Carnival announced the Carnival Dream will reposition to New Orleans in May 2027 to start sailing 4 and 5 night cruises. The Carnival Dream is replacing the Carnival Valor from New Orleans. Carnival Liberty is schedule to continue sailing from New Orleans and will primarily sail 7 night cruises with some special itineraries of longer length.

Carnival Festivale will be Carnival's new ship debuting in 2027 and the ship has had itineraries opened in August 2025. The ship has a variety of 6 & 8 night cruises open.
The Mardi Gras will continue sailing from Port Canaveral, but starting in May 2027 will switch to 4 & 5 day cruises. These 4 & 5 night cruises on the Mardi Gras are scheduled to sail to the Bahamas.
