Sunset The Carnival Adventure and Carnival Encounter are joining Carnival's fleet in March 2025 after the ships are rebranded from Carnival Corporation's P&O Australia line. The Carnival Adventure will be rebranded from being the Pacific Adventure and the Carnival Encounter will be rebranded from being the Carnival Encounter. Each ship is scheduled to receive a 2 week wet-dock where changes will be made onboard. Carnival is adding several Carnival Cruise Line themed favorites to the ships, but is also retaining some of the features & amenities that guests have previously enjoyed on P&O Australia.
Carnival Cruise Features & Highlights:
When the ships are rebranded there will be the addition of some Carnival Cruise Line events, features, and amenities. The below is not necessarily a full list of things being added, but are items Carnival mentioned in their press release.
1. Addition of Carnival's FunSquad To The Onboard Crew
Carnival's FunSquad team members host events onboard such as games, comedy club, deck parties, trivia's, and more. Essentially, this is the branding Carnival gives the crew members who host activities onboard.
2. Turtles Kids Club
Carnival is adding the Turtles Kids Club onboard which will be a childcare program for guests under 2 years of age.
3. Free Pizza Each Day
Carnival is adding pizza for guests to enjoy in unlimited quantities. This venue is planned to be open from 11am until 4pm.
4. Activities
Some of the Carnival Cruise activities being added to the Carnival Adventure and Carnival Encounter are the Build-A-Bear Workshop, Conga For Kids line dance party, and 80's Rock N Glow.

Carnival is keeping some of the P&O Australia fan favorites. Carnival mentioned the Byron Beach Club, Edge Adventure Park, Luke Mangan's specialty restaurant, Luke's Bar & Grill, Angelo's and Dragon Lady are planned to stay onboard the ships.

As of the time of writing, guests wishing to book the Carnival Adventure and Carnival Encounter can book cruises using the existing P&O Australia website. Starting in March 2025, bookings can be made on Carnival Cruise Line's Australia website. Guests currently wishing to book a cruise on the Carnival Luminosa or Carnival Splendor can book their cruises on Carnival's Australia website as normal.
