The year 2025 is looking to be an exciting year for the Galveston cruise industry. From the addition of MSC Cruises to Galveston's cruise line-up to numerous sailings from Carnival Cruise Line, Royal Caribbean, Disney Cruise Line, Norwegian Cruise Line, and Princess Cruises. This post will take a look at some of the exciting things scheduled for 2025 Galveston cruises and the Galveston cruise industry:
1. Arrival of MSC Cruises To Galveston
MSC Cruises will begin sailing from the Galveston in November 2025 when the MSC Seascape begins sailing year-round cruises. Cruisers sailing on the MSC Seascape from Galveston will get to use Cruise Terminal 16 which is currently under construction and will mark the 4th cruise terminal to be added to the Port of Galveston.
2. Port of Galveston Celebrates 200 Years
2025 will mark the Port of Galveston's Bicentennial celebration as the port is turning 200 years old! The Port of Galveston is celebrating this occasion will events throughout the year and has launched a special website for the year. 3. Carnival To Have 3 Year-Round Ships & 1 Seasonal Ship
Carnival Cruise Line will continue to have 3 year round ships sailing from Galveston throughout 2025 and one seasonal ship. The Carnival Jubilee, Carnival Dream, and Carnival Breeze will continue sailing year-round from Galveston during the year. The Carnival Miracle will sail from Galveston through early March and then be replaced by the Carnival Legend which will start sailings in October 2025 from Galveston.

4. Royal Caribbean To Have 2 Year-Round Ships & 1 Seasonal Ship
Royal Caribbean will continue to have 2 year round ships sailing from Galveston throughout 2025 and one seasonal ship. The Harmony of the Seas and Mariner of the Seas are scheduled to continue sailing from Galveston year-round. The Jewel of the Seas is scheduled to seasonally sail from Galveston in 2025.
5. Seasonal Departures From Other Cruise Lines
Galveston will once again see seasonal departures from Galveston on Norwegian Cruise Line, Disney Cruise Line, and Princess Cruise Line. A seasonal departure is one where a cruise line deploys a ship for part of a year from a homeport, but does not have sailings year-round. For each of these cruise lines, they will typically have sailings in the early part of the year and later part of the year from Galveston.
6. Four Cruise Ships In Galveston At Once Days!
The opening of Cruise Terminal 16 from Galveston will allow embarkation/debarkation operations to be done at four different cruise terminals. The late part of 2025 will bring a few days where there will be 4 cruise ships docked in Galveston if all ships come in as scheduled. I believe November 9, 2025 will be a day where 4 ships are scheduled to be docked in Galveston and the line-up consists of Harmony of the Seas, MSC Seascape, Carnival Dream, and Regal Princess.
