Last Morning Walk of the Cruise:
This morning was our last morning on the Carnival Dream and I wanted to maximize the remaining time onboard before having to get off. My alarm went off around 5:00am and I finished packing after getting ready. By 5:30am I was walking around the Carnival Dream. My walk started on Deck 3 in the atrium lobby. Security had the atrium setup for debarkation and crowd control ropes were in place to keep the debarkation process organized.

After walking on Decks 3 and 4 I went up to Deck 5. The casino on Deck 5 was closed for the cruise and the slot machines were disabled. Smoking was prohibited in the main casino at this time as you can only smoke while actively playing at designated machines.
The back areas of Deck 5 were also quiet. The nightclub had a smell of cleaner that was strong.
After walking around the interior we walked up to the Lido Deck. The deck was a little slippery due to cleaning. It felt nice outside and the Carnival Dream was well lite in this area at night. Crew members were out and actively working on the deck area in the early pre-sunrise.
The mini golf course on Deck 12 was closed for the cruise. At night the golf balls and putts were in a locked box.
Around 5:30am we were able to start seeing Galveston and the Bolivar Peninsula in the distance. I took my phone off airplane mode and attempted to connect back to cellular. It worked and all the messages that were waiting for me from during the past few days came in.
Last Morning's Breakfast:
The continental breakfast buffet opened at 6am and the main breakfast buffet lines opened at 6:30am. The Scarlet Dining Room had breakfast open seating being held from 6:30am until 8:00am. Room service is not available on the last morning of the cruise. Below are pictures from this morning's breakfast buffet:

After eating breakfast I walked outside to watch our arrival in Galveston. The Carnival Jubilee was already docked at Cruise Terminal 25. When this cruise departed we left from Cruise Terminal 25, but today we would be docking at Cruise Terminal 28. Both terminals are next to each other, but this did add a little bit of extra steps for us to walk back to the car after getting off.
As we docked the sun was rising in the east. Royal Caribbean's Mariner of the Seas was also close to docking at cruise terminal 10 in the distance.
Before heading back to the room, we stopped at Deck 9's front area to look outside. It was a nice morning in Galveston and the weather was looking great for the next cruisers! We did not spend much time outside and headed back inside to go back to Deck 2. Our suitcases were already packed so we grabbed them and headed to the Encore Lounge on Deck 3.
Debarkation Process:
Since we were all VIFP Platinum, we received instructions the day before getting off to go to a designated area to wait to get off. Guests with general debarkation were instructed to select a debarkation time on the Carnival Hub App during the last sea day. Instructions for debarkation were delivered to staterooms on the last sea day and guests could attend the debarkation presentation hosted by the cruise director at 11am on the last sea day. The VIFP Platinum designated area on this cruise was the Encore Lounge. Upon entering the lounge we were instructed by crew on where to sit as the first group of Platinums in the lounge were going to be first to leave the lounge to get off. The other half of the lounge was being used for special assistance and early flights guests.
Around 7:30am the ship was given clearance to start debarkation. We were allowed off in rows based on the order we arrived into the lounge. Crew directed us to the Deck 3 atrium lobby and before getting off security scanned our Sail & Sign cards.

In the cruise terminal we were directed down a ramp and into a long hallway before arriving at customs. Guests with passports were directed to one line and guests with other forms of identification were directed to another. Since I have a US passport they took my picture and then I was cleared to leave the cruise terminal.
This was a great cruise on the Carnival Dream! The ship was nice, crew did a great job, and the food was good. Thank you for reading my cruise review of the Carnival Dream!
